Gauntlet of Fear: part one

Gale wakes up on a beach with a terrible headache and a strange sensation in his arm “what the…” he lifts his arm to shield his eyes immediately noticing the piece of technology in his wrist “What the hell!?” He scratches his arm and tries to pull it out, only succeeding to hurt himself before sitting on a rock “I must be going crazy”. Suddenly a small noise squeaks from the bushes, instinctively Gale picks up a stick and points it at the bushes “Wh- who’s there?” A nearly screams as a reptile crawls out, except… it had wings and a bulb on its tail.
