If you aren't taming them, kill them or get out of there if you are not on the best tame. They quickly attack and overwhelm you if you let them.

This Tip has 3 segments: To find one, to tame one, and to escape one.

TO FIND CERATOSAURUS:

They are found for sure on The Island, Scorched Earth, and I’ve heard The Center.

The Island: I’ve found most them to be in jungles, near or on inland rivers, and Carno Island.

I’m not sure where on the other maps.

When you encounter them:

Be prepared for a long fight, they are very fast, attack fast, have lots of health, but have weak attack.

Be on a mount because they knock you back with their headbutt attack, and it can be hard to aim. They may be relatively weak, but are still a threat when you are alone.

To escape:

They are REALLY fast. The longer they run, the faster they go, so go in the water if you have a good swimming mount, like a iguanadon, which I used to kill one because they are great swimmers and you can fire from their back.

If there is no water, try running in circles until you get help, the ceratosaurus when running has a horrible turn radius, HOWEVER, they do have a spin attack and can turn 180 degrees when standing still.

Basically, just run in water, and if you can’t, you’re cooked.

Don’t know where else to put this but why isn’t acrocanthosaurus on dex. It’s coming to the official game from garugas mod. It now has a new asa model and new mechanics like the fake roar. Not sure why I’m saying this just felt like it.

I was just today pöaying ark when I had some annoying bisons around my base and decided to öure a rex to kill them. The rex killed them but they had a baby bison woch I imprinted and brought him to my base. What happened next was that I went to take some berries for hom and when I came back there was a cera sniffing him and didnt attack it, the system was bugged and the cera was lagging and didnt attack my babay bison but when I tried luring it away it kilöed some brontos and came bacl to the exact same place. I didnt know what to do and the second time I lured him away he went straight to attack my bison rip to bob.

Run. Just run. They heal themselves,so don’t battle it unless you have a powerful weapon. I don’t recommend using a sword,because it’s going to just heal. Use a strong bow with a a lot of attack damage

Found one spawned on the lagoon beach (Viking Bay) in Ragnarok! My argy was able to kill it in two bites!

To the person who asked if you need to download the for these to spawn first of all, no and second of all why would you say “up for no” unless you knew that it does spawn without the mod and just wanted likes(i can assume the latter)

I think these are Abra and they were all over the center when they came out

The best place to find these are to just go to the mini island on the top right / Carno island (the island)

They share carno spawns and are easy to find around blue ob on scorched earth

These guys look so cool I wish they weren’t only in ascended

For some reason when I get the venom spines and have them in my inventory it says I have zero venom spines.Because of that I can’t make the cocktail for taming it.Does anyone know how to fix this?
