I remember the first time I killed a bronto. He was wondering close to my base, which was surrounded by wooden spikes(I was still pretty early game at the time) and I didn’t want to fight him as brontos had recked me before. So I was tending to my crops when all of a sudden I hear battle music. The bronto had ran into my spikes and had not taken a liking to it. So with no other choice, I pulled out my mastercraft bow and started to shoot. He somehow climbed OVER my spikes and started to kill me. One swing, I was hurt. Two swings, and I was pretty much dead. At that point he had climbed over my house-in-progress and was at the back portion of my house and spikes. As he stood on my back spikes I was trying to run away, when I get a message at the top of my screen. “Your tribe killed a level _ bronto!” I looked behind me and there was a dead bronto standing on my wall of spikes. I harvested the inane amount of meat and hide he offered and then took his sauropod vertebrae as my first ever trophy.
