According to all known laws of aviation, bees can fly just fine and their ability to do so is well understood. The idea that they shouldn't be able to was based on a math error where the person who said this didn't scale the equation properly for the bee's size. This was noticed and corrected fairly quickly but the idea stuck. Now you know.
