To all people saying "wildcard pls make basilisk tameable with crystal wyvern egg" you need to understand that if wildcard does it, the whole business falls apart. You want a basilisk? Buy maps, baby

Needs rockdrake eggs, dont believe the golden eggs

Be carful never tame these until you get a rockdrake utherwise you are basically sacrificing 2 drakes so get a drake so you can easily gather eggs I world Recommend waiting until you have 3 drakes because early game loosing a drake is bad

I tamed a few high level turtles, let em cryo over night for levels. Dumped all the levels into health. Waited another day to heal. Then simply threw em out and threw the mag eggs next to em and sat there on my dragon while the Basilisk had a field day. Easiest tame method. No need to trap them or anything crazy. 1 lvl 66 basilisk couldn’t kill lvl 250 turtle w 29k health. (7x tame Boosted server) this was a lazy attempt at a new strategy after the nooblet video didn’t work. Takes some time but is stupid easy.

Before taming get AT LEAST two magmasour, voidwyrm or anything that will take it. One male one femal have them breed on repeat until you get around five eggs. Mount a flying Dino of your choice with a ravager or the bulbasour trick and fly above it throwing down eggs. Boom now you get your own basilisk or as I like to cal it sasashaaahassicaasesesheth

This was so easy to tame all I did was accidentally drop an egg and the name your new basilisk came up but watch out for the radiation it kills them so easily

Quick taming

1 take rockdrake eggs

2 find your basilisk and clear the area so it dont loses taming effectivnes

3 get a bit on high but not too much so the basilisk can agro you and drop down eggs

How to tame a baslisk

1# get a rock drake egg (might need to collect a few)

2#find a basiliskthat u like

3# clear the surrounding

4# make a trap (make out of metal)

5# stand in front and drop a egg (be careful)

I suggest u have a spawn point near with a bed or sleeping bag and just have your rock drake eggs and leave your value stuff in a storage box or something hope it help u

Trap: 2 stone foundations wide, 4 long, 2 dino gates snapped at each side, one on the end. Run basilisk in the ungated end, run around the trap and snap the last gate behind the basilisk. I have a ceiling 5 pillars high at the head end (just outside the trap) to drop eggs from. Once the basilisk is tamed, demo the last gate you snapped, and you can bring a new gate and reuse the trap. Been used on official without issue.

Dont try it with crystal wyvern eggs they dont work i lost an 300 ember egg becouse i wanted to tame a 300 basilisk

I tamed my level 20 on 2x using 3 drake eggs. I strongly suggest using a trap. One behemoth gate and 5 dino gates did the trick for me. Just tossed the eggs down and went far enough away that it would drop aggro. Each egg gave abut 49.5% effectiveness. Good luck!

You can now tame the basilisk with fertilized magmasaur eggs on genesis ! It was just released in the patch tonight !

If you build platforms bellow your cage when taming it you don't lose taming afishase

🦖 How To Tame/Trap:

build a trap (3 Trapdoor Ceiling, 12 Wooden Ramps, 29 Pillars, and 4/5 Stone Foundations)

visualize a cage made out of pillars. build your trap 7 pillars long, then place 1 pillar east/west from your 7th pillar on BOTH ends. mirror that design by placing another 7 pillars that are symmetrical to the previous row. place your 3 trapdoor ceilings at the end of your trap. afterwards, place 3 ramps ground-to-ceiling, then 3 ramps moving upward. double up on the height of the remaining pillars. complete trap by place your 4/5 foundations inside 👍🏼 lure basilisk over the ramp, and YEAH BOY!!

🔑 How To Hack Keys:

Use Dinos that WONT AGGRO the Basilisk (Karkinos, Rock Drake, etc)

wait until it’s burrowed into the ground, in its passive state. walk over it with your Kark, Drake, etc, and look down in Third Person. you’d see the “dino” icon appear. simply access it, and hack the keys 👍🏼 don’t waste all those Drake Eggs 💯

🔥 How To Be OP:

method 1: (utility)lower a stone/metal foundation to the lowest point. place a bed up top if you wish to spawn there. bury your serpent as close to the foundation as possible. set your basilisk on passive, and you now have a permanent & untargetable storage 👍🏼 basilisk have base weight of 2k, more or less depending on stats. feed ever so often, spawn there, stash loot, hide blueprints, name it.

method 2: (pvp) simply build a tower, improvise on the design, because the idea is to drive your basilisk up there on ramps, build 1 layer of walls as defense, and set it on turret mode. set attack range to “HIGH” and set basilisk on “AGGRESSIVE” 👍🏼 now, if any player comes near your base, you’ll definitely know where they are + DPS + can aggro any dinos to its tower 👍🏼

It into a trap with, put down magmasaur eggs and profit.

To perfect tame them just tame a low level dodo or bulbdog them kill it near the basilisk place a stone foundation on the corpse aggro the basilisk over to the foundation on a drake or any mount drop the required eggs to tame it on the foundation and watch the snake munch on stone till it's tame

Eaay tame on Abberation ASA. Put small rame behind stairs, have Basilisk agro u and lead it to the small tame. Jump on Drake and drop egg. Drop the eggs two at a time while the Basilisk attacks the small tame. Tamed a 140 on 1x official with 9 drake eggs in 8 minutes. Just back up while on drake and the basilisk will eat an egg then reagro to the small tame. When it does drop another egg.

Make sure to not loose Agro, will drop taming

Just chunk a fertilized egg at it from the air
