1 bite on a 150% basilisk inflicts as much torpor as a dart. Use it well time bites 10s apart.

Before taming get AT LEAST two magmasour, voidwyrm or anything that will take it. One male one femal have them breed on repeat until you get around five eggs. Mount a flying Dino of your choice with a ravager or the bulbasour trick and fly above it throwing down eggs. Boom now you get your own basilisk or as I like to cal it sasashaaahassicaasesesheth

Quick taming

1 take rockdrake eggs

2 find your basilisk and clear the area so it dont loses taming effectivnes

3 get a bit on high but not too much so the basilisk can agro you and drop down eggs

This was so easy to tame all I did was accidentally drop an egg and the name your new basilisk came up but watch out for the radiation it kills them so easily

I do admit they are hard to kill harder to tame.but if you have the right gear things could be a lot easier. Don't bring good dinos or any. Get a jetpack u have higher ground, then youve got this. Please up this for others to see

Magmasaurs can shoot them while there underground.

How to tame a baslisk

1# get a rock drake egg (might need to collect a few)

2#find a basiliskthat u like

3# clear the surrounding

4# make a trap (make out of metal)

5# stand in front and drop a egg (be careful)

I suggest u have a spawn point near with a bed or sleeping bag and just have your rock drake eggs and leave your value stuff in a storage box or something hope it help u

Honestly I think they should make it to any fertile egg will tame the creature or just to make it breedable because almost everything else can breed but the basilisk can't and it is a really hard tame to get.

Great to tame other dinos and run away from others (gigas), carry a ton of weight, good dmg, poison (don't leave its behaviour on agreassive, it costed me 3 dinos and 2 dragons to bring this tip to you)

Basilisks deal torpidity that is three times their melee damage. For example, if your basilisk has 500% melee damage it deals 1,500 torpor over ten seconds.

I tamed a level 145 basilisk and it’s damage it does per hit is 78226.5

Trap: 2 stone foundations wide, 4 long, 2 dino gates snapped at each side, one on the end. Run basilisk in the ungated end, run around the trap and snap the last gate behind the basilisk. I have a ceiling 5 pillars high at the head end (just outside the trap) to drop eggs from. Once the basilisk is tamed, demo the last gate you snapped, and you can bring a new gate and reuse the trap. Been used on official without issue.

Is immune to jellyfish sting and has no oxygen meter and drains stam very slowly while swimming but sadly isnt as fast as pure aquatic mounts. Overall good amphibious tho.

Dont try it with crystal wyvern eggs they dont work i lost an 300 ember egg becouse i wanted to tame a 300 basilisk

It glows in the dark, so be careful.

Just before the basilisk uses it's ranged poison attack it will coil up. You can see the green reflection on your character from incoming poison attacks letting you know to change directions when running away. It's best to be on a fast mount because a hit from the venom ball will do direct damage to players even on mounts.

Tamed a low level that came out with 2000 weight. High level came out with 3000. Decent speed and can fight while hauling heavy cargo. Not immune to radiation tho

Shoots posion, if your under water near it , it may not agro workedfor me till i got out of water
