Best way to tame is get on high rock shot with traq arrows

Don’t fight in water whatever you do

I ussualy use them on caves because they are really fast and they are one of the strongest creatures you can fit in a cave entrance

Can Be carried on agar in mobile I just did that

Good for certain caves as long as they have good health and damage

Trap ‘em in a wood house thing and while they’re attacking the walls shoot them with tranq arrows/ whatever else can be used. Bola them up to make the process less risky

If you are exploring an underwater cave then these are you’re best mount because they can stun lock eels and other deep sea creatures.

Review of the Baryonyx:

The Barry is one of those underrated tames that is often shadowed by the Carno, and that’s just incorrect. The simple fact is that the Barry is considerably better than the Carno, It has a better Stamina regain; it can jump; it has a better weight stat and it can swim at a decent speed. Not only that, the Barry produces very little noise, especially compared to the Carnos loud stomping SFX, this allows the Barry to move around silently and largely unseen.

Stand on a rock where they can not reach you or a cliff and tranq them out! Make sure you are not too near the deep waters so you don’t have to venture out there to keep an eye on the tame

I’ve always viewed the baryonyx as a far more agile and flexible alternative to the carnotaurus. The prime use that I have the baryonyx for disposal is cave spelunking (specifically at the lava cave). Their ability to jump, instantly harvest corpses after kills, and semi-decent health make for a quick take-artifact-and-leave mission. Unfortunately, I have lost many lives within that cave for my experiments and chitin trips. There are some stories that will be posted soon in the story section.

very easy to tame its good for travelling and caves and can take a rex. I use my baryonx everywhere and never have to fear anything. its also a very good water mount since it can deal with ALMOST everything.

You can find these around the swamp.they aren't extremely common, but they also aren't extremely rare.

For the Lava Cave:

Bary is better than wolf due to it’s jumping pattern being longer and more predicable

This is the best creature to tame for caves

Use a simple 2*1 trap with 1 high doorframes and a ramp to easily tame I tamed one with thatch as it focused on destroying the doorframe instead of trying to attack me but this only works with really low levels if medium use stone

It’s not hard to tame and can be tamed easily at lvl 30

These can be found near swamp areas so lure it out and into trap FAR AWAY FROM SWAMP

Or it’ll be killed by twenty million sarcos and kapros

Tame using prime fish meat which can be obtained by killing megladons and harvesting with metal pick

Got attacked on my raft. A dodo was on it but still it tried to kill me. Il ran away while it was destroying the raft

I got one near a river where I was planning to tame a spino but I saw the baryonyx and then decided to tame him since the spino was gone now I realized how worthy taming him was so If you decide to tame one go with your crossbow and atleast 10 tranc arrows and 20 fish meat and you won't regret it.

They are very common in the rivers of the southern islets. Beware, they are fast.

These can spawn in rivers if your wanting a more likely chance to find some go to the swamp these are not really common to spawn in rivers I played ark for a long time and i have not seen a lot of these in rivers a lot of times
