Me and my best bary where able to complete the caverns of the lost faith without much trouble, so yeah, you can use them to pass through the sea caves (not only the surface caves), just be careful with tusos and cnidarias, also it has to be a good bary

Incredible for gathering fish meat, which is the only thing they will eat. They're really good in the water and on land. I'm starting my baryonyx squad for underwater caves

Need to know~ If you lure it into a bear trap, (even a small one) it will get stuck. Just spam 7-10 tranq arrows and it’ll be out. Be careful in water, it can stun you and drown you. However the stun ONLY works in water. they ONLY eat fish, they tame fast and don’t need many narcotics, (I used 5). They’re extremely fast on land and (at a high level or in groups) can take down massive carnivores! They’re slower in water and you can’t turn or go up and down on them very well. I have one named Brenda, she’s a beast. If you put multiple of them together, or pair one with a Sarco, you have an unstoppable swamp team! That’s it!

I was with my two female dilos and a female came out of no where and killed me, I raced back to save my dilos and I couldn’t find my lvl 29 dilo female bloodMoon, only venom was there, I searched before finding her dead she was a wonderful dilo 😥, the female baryonyx is still wandering my world, she was lvl 3!!! I am very cautious to go anywhere near the place where my dilo was killed.

When I first Encountered I assume it was dangerous Because I observe it and this dino killed two trikes

So I wanted to tame it bc i heard it was worth it.

So I took my crossbow and a some tranq arrows, went to a high cliff where it wont kill me. Just where I had my sights on it. A F***ING Carbo (Those turtles walked over me and push me off to the water right next to the baroynx.

You may think its the end of me. But no, the dino hit me but I didnt stun me (I think). I hit the beast with my tranq crossbow below its belly so the it cant bite me. And I made it unconcious from just two shots to say the least I was lucky from that and you may too as well. I survived this in underwater and took down the dino and now its tamed and I called it "The Baron" because its name sounds "Baryon"yx.

Bary can no longer be bolaed, be careful! Grab them with an argy and use a trap instead.

They are great cave runners, They can take on almost any thing in the water.

I had one and he is an absolute legend and I lost I in the night. Next morning I died to an alpha raptor.

Best all around mount ever.If you pump damage this thing is a beast both on land and underwater with its stun attack

Stun move in water does not trigger aggro debuff from ammonite and thus it can be used to obtain bile to make tons of antidotes. Instead of using a Tuso for a few hours fighting off Mosas, Cnidaria, and Electrophorus, you can ignore it all and use a Bary for 15 minutes to collect enough bile for 200 antidotes! Helpful if in a large tribe.

These guys are easily the best cave mount. With a lot of melee and health they are almost unstoppable.

So sad this can’t stun megs and piranhas on mobile.

I tried to tame one when I first played ark and D I E D all I was planning to use was a rock and a slingshot to take it out, it ended up dying bc compys were hungry and looked at it and screamed to the top of their tiny lungs

Based on my experience, this guys can face tank the athro's spit attack(when angled properly), meaning they wont be able to hit and destroy your armor when you on the back of this beast
