On the island, I was trying to tame a high level baryonyx for caving and general use (genocide).

After a couple of hours I couldn't find any higher than lvl 25. Lot of looking around with my argy, dying a couple of times to a dimorphodon (turns out they straight up attack the rider and not the creature), all for nothing (if you don't count the huge amounts of exp Theri (My argy) and I gained lol). Turns out the island is infamous for very low level creatures.

So, I go to ragnarok fot the first time at level 80 or so, build a raft, and went to the swamp. There I died to a sarco several times. I then went on to build a stone trap (barely anything in the swamp can damage stone). I didn't bring any of my dinos or any belongings from the island with me, so the next hour was spent gathering stone and metal.

So I go back to the swamp, build a trap, then nearly died to a group of titanoboas and flying crocodiles (forgot their name, was it kaprosochus?) Anyways, I found a high level bary, lead it to the trap, and it immediately escaped it and went off to die to a paracer.

I forgot the bear trap.

So I made a couple, placed one in the trap, and it didn't activate? It looked like it was closed. I went to take a closer look, and of course got stuck. Turns out you can't damage it while you're inside of it, so the next 13 minutes or so I had to stand in the trap.

At this point I was getting annoyed, but actually managed to get a nice bary (level 95, 150 or so after taming it).

Now I just need to find yet another one of the opposite gender, because there is no way I am going to do all this again if he dies.
