On a non boosted server you need around 100 element i sugest building a small griffin trap and whatever you do DO NOT LET IT CHASE NEAR ITS HERD as soon as it its you he will call his friends always build the trap on the space bridge this is out of render distance (atleast for me) from where they usely spawn.
