Stay glued to it the entire taming process. Makes it alot easier

Tamed a lvl 150 it starved to death within about 5 hrs rediculouse how fast its food dropped. I'm used to dinos going days without needing to feed. I dont know if these creatures are bugged but be warned.

Just make an argy trap on top of one of the space bridges, kite the one you want into the trap, simply close the trap and stay at the back side of the dolphin and continue petting and taming it if you move away for too long you will quickly lose taming efficiency

1 Get about 150 (on 3x settings) element from mining the blue crystals in the space biome (they appear on the "moon" biome)

2 Find a lvl you like

3 Let it follow you to the bridge and get it to Eden or Rockwell's garden bridge

4 tame it by petting it and giving it element

Not sure if this is patched as single player is technically a few updates behind to official/unofficial servers but if you have a hover skiff you can just grab one of them and fly near them for a perfect pet/feed all without chasing it around and worrying about wild agro.

Press left ctrl to enter a jet mode that uses elemnt instead of gas. They can fire homing plasma balls that do high damage(you lock on by holding left click), they fire beams that also do high damage by pressing left click. All attacks scale with melee damage. Press x to do air maneuvers that put tape jars to shame. Press c to do an air donut which you can use to get behind people chasing you. When you hold W and any side key(d or a), you do a short burst. It's faster than a pteranodon, can dive, has more range than turrets and maneuvers like a tapejar. An op creature that shouldn't exist.

For anyone wondering, taming boosters do not affect its taming speed of the amount of progress from 1 element. It only varys off the amount of element you feed it.

After taming them they it raw meat

WARNING: If you use an inverted Y-Axis on a controller, the Star Dolphin Arwing reticle will NOT respect that. Tilting the stick back (down) will make you lean back (look up) when you're in first/third person, but it will push the reticle down, making the Dolphin turn down.

Doing this in one of the missions will cause your Dolphin to grind the wall N.S.E.A.-Protector style while it screams in pain, and HLN-A is telling you how good a pilot you are.

2 people with a skiff works like a charm on a boosted server it's broken can't seem to get the extra level though

You can breed them and they fit in dino gates so traping works

I found lvl25. First time eat 1 element, secondary eat 3 elements and 3rd time eat 5 elements and at was 5.8% taming and 4th eat about 9 elements and completed this tame... Very fast will hungry... If you tamed and very hungry your dolphin then you need drop raw meat in inventory.. Dont eat element only when you tame!!! Little aggresive but beautiful animal

Just tamed one lvl 50. Trapped in the entrance way and kept the taming going. Its a pattern for the petting and element feed. Went from 1 to 3 to 5, repeat. Keep up with it!!!

Pet it and feed element. Boom, pretty space dolphin.

So you go and pet it then after u can feed it element to tame it

This new astrodelphis and the new x-reaper will most likely be found in biome 3 from the gen2 leaks on survivetheark.com, Crabs and spinos will likely be found there too judging by the appearance of the landscape with all the pools of water, maybe we can get x-spinos on this map too, and maybe even x-crabs

This crazy mutated dolphin is very easy to tame. HOWEVER, you unlock its saddle at level 120, so it is basically useless until then. Just pet and feed, the usual stuff... Get a fast hibrid dino before, because the space biome has water physics. Why fast, you say? If you stay still for more than 1 second, you get eaten up by voidwyrms. They shock you and your tame, with absurd amounts of dps. Careful! The astrodelphis, however, is pretty casual... They don't inflict damage at all, besides their bomp attack. Once you get it, focus on other stuff besides movement speed, since its tek saddle, when crafted, gives it a ton of rocket power. Cool flier, cool speed, cool rocket saddle. Good luck!

To Tame it Fast on Official PvP:

Always Start when green crystals are spawned in space.

Harvest green crystals for element with Tek Punch. I tried with pick and mining drill, tek punch gives pure elements from 3to4 punches on closely gathered crystal nodes and not shards.

Put the element on 0 number slot.

Kite the dino by going near the 1 which you want to tame out of other dino group by just going near it and flying away.

Pet it 2 times and then feed it.

Spam e on pc fast to pet and feed and dont approch it from front of its face as it pushbacks us.
