You can easily knock out and tame an argument if you kill another wolf animal near it and hit it with about 3 tranq darts or a few tranq arrows. If there’s a dead animal near it then it’ll target the animal to heal even if it’s being attacked. And if you manage to knock its healing then it’s good will already be low so you can get an easy argy tame within seconds. After it’s knocked out

Use an electric prod and if you have god console press level up target it will make it faster to tame

To tame an argent you make his torpor rise most of the way then you kill yourself or a dino you can pull then you wait for it to eat the carcass once he eats it you ko it IMIDEATLY while the healing ability is in then once it is ko the food will drop half to all the way in less than 6 seconds ...90% tame with 145

Best way to tame is make it follow you to a taming cage with a dinosaur gate and door frames as walls so you could walk out once inside close the gate now go kill something and drag the body to it once it's eaten the body you should see green light coming from the bird that's when you quickly shoot it with trank arrows and it should almost instantly tame ...just try it

Glitch out where 1 arrow before you knock it out u kill yourself and feed it your body and knock it out while it’s healing and it goes down to 0 food so u can insta tame

Really slow. Walk backwards while loading it with tranqs.

Dont listen to what they say about the tranqur arrows needed to nock it out, they are VERY wrong, it says 9 to the head, WHY DID IT TAKE 17 WITH HIT MARKERS

Found one lvl 117 knock out after 20 min cause was close too death when i found it was in my encoluser guess what when i quit too save frigen lags me out of the game comme on wild card :"(

Make a trap with wood or stone Dino gates

There’s a trap on Youtube by “captainfatdog”, using his trap + the argy starve tame method is one of the most efficient ways in taming this creature!

If u need a flyer to carry stuff. This u guy

Pretty easy tame. Best to build a gaming box of stone with a roof (4x5x4 is my preference on dimensions) and surround it with a wide ring of wooden spikes. Fly out on a high health Ptera and find your Argy of choice. Fly into Argy aggro range and lure it back. It’ll loose interest easy so let it hit your bird every so often to keep interest. Once you have it in the box slam shut the doors then shoot it with tranq. Darts or Shock Darts from a long rifle. Tame with Superior Kibble, Raw Mutton or Raw Prime Meat for best results. Slap a saddle on the baddy and hit the skys to start leveling. Pump it full of weight, stamina and a little health and damage if you wanna up it’s defenses.

if you have an ascended bow or rifle with tranq, it so much easier for low and high level. After taking it down feed it raw meat or prime meat. (in a small island (north-east) there's many argentavis there and there's big predators which you can get prime meat easier.)

Don’t need a trap they don’t do much damage

The Argentavis is one of my top favorite creatures in ARK. These flying beauties have a 50 percent weight reduction on many items such as stone and metal, which makes them good rss traveling packs. So, let's see how to tame these creatures!

1. GET PREPARED. Items like Tranquilizing ARROWS, BOWS, RIFLES, and DARTS are how you will knock the argentavis out. Make sure to have a pack of RAW MEAT or PRIME MEAT meat with you. If you are capable of making SUPERIOR KIBBLE for this creature, it is best you do so.

2. KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS! This part of the taming is one of the most ESSENTIAL while taming anything. It is best to tame a flyer in OPEN, FLAT AREAS or just where it is NOT DENSLY POPULATED WITH OTHER HOSTILE CREATURES.

3. BUILD A TRAP. Any type of LARGE AVIAN like the Argentavis can be trapped by using 4 STONE DINOSAUR GATES and 2 DINOSAUR GATE DOORS. Place them next to eachother as if you were making a large cage. Make a SMALL GAP enough for YOU to FIT THROUGH, but not the ARGENTAVIS to fit through.

4. FIND AN ARGENTAVIS. Once you have built your trap, look for an argentavis you would like to have. Don't worry if the ancient bird is far away from the cage. LURE the Argentavis to it by GOING UP TO IT and INCH AWAY AS IT FOLOWS YOU. TRY NOT TO GET HIT.

5. TRAP IT. Now that the Argentavis is close enough to the trap, OPEN ONE OF THE GATES for the bird to follow you through. CLOSE THE GATE right before the future tame is inside.

6. TRANQ CALCULATION. Depending on the LEVEL you want to tame, you may need more powerful or less powerful tools to knock it out.

Level 1-50: Can use a slingshot or tranq arrows and narco berries (BRING EXTRA stones or arrows beyond the argentavis level IN CASE YOU MISS)

Level 51-150: Use Tranq arrows or Tranquilizing darts with narcotics (Made in SMITHY and used with a LONGNECK RIFLE)

Level 150-200: Tranq arrows or Tranquilizing darts with narcotics and bio toxin (From the electric jellyfish)

Level 201 and above: Use Tranquilizing darts ONLY with narcotics and bio toxin. Using a bow with tranq arrows are ENOUGH TO KILL the high level creature bc the TORPOR WILL BE HIGHER and you may bring the birds health DOWN TO ZERO before it PASSES OUT.

Once you have done all this, put some meat or kibble in their inventory and soon enough, that bird will be yours! The argentavis saddle is unlocked at level 62, but before that you can use it as a guardian and a resource carrier for you when collecting stuff. They can be used in battle too, with an advantage of flight by attacking their victims from above. Once these fellas eat a carcass left over, they gain an effect that will boost their health and regenerates rapidly if hit by something (BOOST LASTS FOR 15 SECONDS). If you have made it this far, then nice! You now know how to make an argy army!

BIG TIP IF U KNOCK OUT ARGY WHILE ITS HEALING ITS HUNGER WILL DROP SO MUCH AND U CAN TAME IT UNDER A MINUTE PROBALY

Make sure your using boosted stats if u play solo because if u don’t then you will need a trap

An easy trap that works like a charm for Argentavis, as well as other fliers, is a set of 5 Stone Gateways placed in a straight line(with a bit enough gap in between for your character to walk through, with a Reinforced Gate places on the two ending Gateways. Close the gate opposite of them direction the Argentavis will be entering from, and lead the Argentavis into the trap. Crouching helps sometimes, but normally you can just wait for the Argent to fly in, walk around it, and close the open gate the Argent flew in from. After that, just knock out like any other KO tame

For a Quick and easy tame make a trap with three stone gate frames and two door and place them in a row and leave a space between the gate frames where you’re character can fit through and the argi can’t. Then lure the argi in to the trap and place the gates (you can also place the gates before and open them but personally I think it’s easier to place them when the argi is in the trap). Once it’s trapped use some sort of tranquilliser to almost knock it out, when it’s one or two shots from knocking out feed it a dead body so it gets the green healing effect and then knock it out. If done correctly it should be drained of food and insta tame with any sort of food but I recommend kibble or mutton.
