To tame mine I made just made a normal easy Thatch hut 1. Foundation 3.walls 1.door way 1 roof I got about 5 large bear traps and put them all around the hut (put one on the roof and infront of the door way too) them I shot the one that I wanted with a tranq arrow to make it mad so it would chase my saber tooth I was riding. Let it chase you to the hut (don’t forget to put your creature on wonder and passives our doesn’t get killed) jump in the hut and let it get caught in a trap so you can tranq it until it’s knocked out. :) hope this helps.

Fun fact oxygen is a wasted stat because flyers can’t go underwater with some exceptions like the Maewing

Feed it raw meat on mobile and it will take 2 seconds trust me I just tamed one it took 2 shots from a longneck and 2 or 3 seconds with raw meat. No joke.

2 - 3 Tranq arrows will successfully knock out an argentavis. Then, I gave the bird several pieces of meat and several types of berries. I left it and did other tasks. Came back a while later and it was tamed. I've done this 3 times successfully.

Some nice (and bad) things about reliable Argentavis

(A): has a MAJOR array of weight reductions (wood, metal, metal ingots, etc)

(B): has some 'desired' speed, making it very tedious to travel across large amounts of land, especially when you have large amounts of weight.

(C): I has a good stat distribution/desired stats, especially Weight

(D): can defend itself, but not well. (At least it can attack on the ground)

(E): it's pretty easy to tame for such usefulness

(F): amazingly high stamina efficiency, even at high weight

(G): commonly found in somewhat "safe" areas (the artic, mountains, redwoods)

(H): Sadly, it's saddle is at I think level 51 which is a pain (especially playing on base settings)

I’ve come across many of these feathery birds flying and/or walking minding their own business, they are fairly easy to tame and breed. To tame just simply knock it out using 3-5 tranqulizer darts, get some meat and put it in its inventory then sit down and relax. Just mind dire wolfs and Rex’s and other carnivores. And they are really easy to breed, just tame 2 of them, male, and female, put them both in a secure area and put them on wander then they’ll do their thing, and also it is really important to keep them to whatever temperature they need to be, simply use a campfire if they are cold and put them in water if they are too hot.
