If you are low on hp on a travel(say, to a metal rich area or another resource rich area), you can hunt a creature to get food. If you feed the argy a corpse, it will gain rapid regeneration, which can be useful for recovering hp during combat or if you have to land in a dangerous area.

This giant flying bird is a great ride it’s relly easy to tame first get a smithy then a primitive longneck rifle and some tranquilizer dart’s for mobile hold and drag it to the gun and find one (I usually find them near cliff’s and stuff) shot it and for me it tamed with no taming stuff it goes up by 8 get around 30 or so meat and boom you got a argentavis enjoy hope this is useful to all who read this

Easier for me to use argetavis than wyvern to pickup and carry deodicurus or akylosaurus to get stone or metal

I had one that hit in 277 on regular settings but I lost him transferring into onother map have to write this to add it

Try painting them with cyan colors, trust me it looks nice

The insta tame does work BC I did it yesterday and half the food was gone

Level up your Argetavis’s weight and Stam so they can transport your tames around the map

TAME AN ARGY WHEN U CAN BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME! They're great war birds (having overall great stats and a regen buff eating corpses) and transport birds (having stamina and weight at star levels and weight reduction for almost every heavy resource in the game). Easy to tame, the only downside is that u need 13 degrees to hatch their eggs.

If you don’t want to use a trap just go up to the mountain with a pteranodon and hit one of the Argys at the bottom so it will start following you. Make sure it’s following you as they are kinda slow. Once you get to the top park your pteranodon and shoot the Argy with tranq darts. In my experience there hasn’t been anything up there so you can tame in peace. Hope this helps a little.

yall out here building traps when you can just lure them into the cave on carnivore island- they cant escape it untill you lead them out with follow whistle or a saddle- just be wary of sabers raptors and scorpions they can fit in the cave- try to stay away from the entrance too cause rexes CAN and WILL reach you by clipping their heads through a wall- have fun with this yall- i got 3 argys by doing this so it 100% works! (just try to not get hit- idk if they can move around good enough to attack you- if so just put down a billboard or something lol their head will poke out if they are aggroed and you can shoot them! you can also shoot from under it too) hope this helps people who have trouble making traps!

I think the argent is the only flyer worth anything since the update. Speed is ok weight is decent and damage is killer.

Their like flying vaults, they can carry a lot of things with ease, however they do tend to be really slow

EASIEST WAY TO TAME AT ANY LEVEL:

Stock up on trans, 4 - 5 per bird, wait for it to land, walk an aim-able distance away, FIRE AWAY, when it comes close, run towards it while flanking from the side and from behind as it passes, you WILL take a foot or two, so be prepared to have SOME food handy for yourself.

They stay tranqed for a little over 30 minutes. Use that time to starve them whil you hunt some predator or big game to get some prime and VOILA!

I solo play and just tamed 5 Argen in one go. I am going to paint them blue and call them The Blue Angles. 😉

They are a simple tame for the middle class. Just get some prime meat and a few tranq arrows and DONE. DO NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE IN MOBILE HE WILL IMEDIETLY DIE💀

I remember Encountering this in the snow biome there are literally so many of them that I started murdering them by a pump shotgun and a simple rifle including a assault rifle and then started massacre the heck out of them

I tamed one today with no trap I had a mastercraft crossbow with tranq arrows and fur armor it was chasing me and I just kept running away and shooting it it knocked out with just 3 tranq arrows I tamed it with raw meat in 15 minutes but keep in mind the one I tamed was just a level 20

How to tame an argentavis is if you're bad at the game like me.

Supplies needed- flying mount, tranqs (darts are recommended), and some narcotics or biotoxin

First go to the non snowy mountain in the east (on island btw) then find your preferred argy, next fly in front of his face to get it to aggro. Lead him up the mountain until you get to a spot where you can sit there, then got off your mount and start shooting it, rinse and repeat until he's sleeping. Feed him meat and narcotics and bam you got an argy.

For the past three days I have been running around the whole island with my very strong direwolf in search of a high level argy, i had encountered many 420’s but I honestly wanted a 435 or 450(max level), after the first two days I was losing hope and was about to give up, but luckily I had made the right decision of going on one more trip around the volcano. When I got there I saw a big group of argys and got excited, when I pulled out my spyglass all The argys with the dull and ugly colors were low levels but fortunately the silver female with a black crest and white wings was a max level!!! I’m thinking of naming her angel👍

Excellent on scorched earth for an all purpose mount. Great for getting large amounts of resources over long distances, and it can carry many of the creatures. Most argentavis are strong enough if you pump in a few levels to handle most wild dinos, like rexes or paracers. I wouldn’t recommend fighting or going near rock golems, wyverns, or deathworms unless your sure you can take them on.
