This Dino is extremely good mid game because it can carry sabertooths dire wolfs etc, it also has good weight so you can take it on metal runs

Set up a ballista on your base if you live near where they spawn, and shoot them out of the sky using Chain Bolas. Be sure not to let them fall from too high, as they could easily die.

In my opinion, nothing beats an Argentavis when It comes to collect Prime Meat, Fish or Normal. Helpful in Scorched Earth(Used to steal Wyvern Eggs), but you'd need to be real fast or real lucky to get away from one. I once had a large cage full of them(if I remember, I had 9.), and I rarely was defeated with them(NOOOOOO MANTICORE), but overall, they are a truly amazing creature in the game.

When you have KO the tame put a wood spike fence around it to protect from other dinos

For easy kill, hide in the water and shoot out with crossbow or use a pike. It won't often be able to reach you from piking range

I generally prefer Argenavis as more of tank type flier and or a carrier due to their large weight capacity perfectly suitable for supply runs or carrying players, it has its pros and cons while It may not be the quickest

To knock out very efficiently, have a high health pteranodon and lure it to a mountain or safe place for you and let a friend shoot tranq it while you fly in circles and let it hit you. Easy. By the time it stays running, you should of put enough shots in to get it a few seconds after it runs

On the Island there are lots of them on the eastern side of the north-west mountain, where you can aggro them with your Ptera and lure them to the near beach. Kill more argies for prime meat and fast taming.

Good for when your a low level tribe and need to do metal runs as they have good weight and stamina

If no trap is near, kite the argy around in a circle. It's AOE won't be able to hit you.

Make a pin with the Dino gate having at least 2 foundation on the right and left. Once inside the Dino gate ensure its 3 walls long atleast. Draw the argy in than do a cycle if on a bird fly out and make a hard right. This will distract it so you can jump off and close the door. Ensure you have a door way into the structure and star shooting it. Wait 10 sec for a 100+ between shots. Easy solo tame

These birds have fantastic weight and could be a great use of your time to get one. If you do decide to tame an Argentavis, consider taming a Pteranodonand getting the narcotics, and tranquilizers in advance since they usually live near mountains with many dangerous dinos and mammals. A trick me and some friends use for taming these is have it follow one person on a bird or just in general if you don't have one, and have the other person shoot it. If it begins to lose interest and fly away, we attack it to make it follow us again. Since usually they have very low torpor, headshots make it really easy to conserver arrows if you're a new player.

When taming an argent make sure to always have a fast mount and a reliable mount that can get you a lot of meat and prime meat.

I was easily able to tame a low level one in the redwoods. Let one attack your pteranodon and lead it to a tree platform. Tranqed it while it attacked my ptera and it fell asleep on the platform. Easy way to do it solo without a trap. Darts work best for knocking out quickly

It isn't hard to tame them in the wild but it also isn't easy. Lure the bird you want to tame to a taming area or pen. starving it like anything works best. Got mine or four prime meat. Level up stamina and health. Can't level up movement speed on PS4.

Due to the new tlc phase 2 that came out march 2018, the argy has a new saddle with a smithy, reduced weight capabilities and can hold two dinos at once (small dino in beak, normal sized in talons) but you can no longer carry procroptodons or castoroides but you can now carry thylacs. It also has a rapid health regen when eating meat

The calculator is wrong on 7x it only takes 2 raw meat

Worth making a stone taming pen raft, took no damage , also tamed a lv150 scorpion at the same time and drove home to finish the tame at my base in peace..lovely except it took forever without kibble...

Just stay in the very outside left of the map untill you reach the north, there should be a small penninsula, stegos rexes kentros scorpions and hyenadons seem to spawn there a lot as well, so be careful when doing this. Most of the time there's a war going on at that place also, if you use enough cluster grenades you can clear out almost everything. But if all you find is argees then find the highest one, tranq it, kill the other argees, or tranq them too, tell the highest one (once it's tamed) to stop doing cocaine to get so high, and enjoy your argees.
