Lure one from carnivore island using a pteranodon so you can tame it without the dangers of the deadly dinosaurs.

Just tamed a level 1 with normal raw meat. Took no narcotics at all. It's torpidity didn't even drop below half way. Yet according to this guide it needs 6 narcotics for a level 1.

Build a cage with stone pillars and a small dinosaur gate on a boat. Sail to their spawn and lure them in.

These birds usually spawn in dangerous places, lure them out to somewhere safe and start to tranq it.

Good for taming small animals aswell as killing large animals. You can drop something like a dire wolf in some kind of a taming pen whilst you shoot tranqs at it off your mount. You can kill things like rexes, but, don't attempt to kill Titianasurs or Giggas. Pump lots of points into health, stamina, and melee damage.

Personally, great for an easier tame to use for picking up smaller dinos or scavenging runs like for metal. Level up stamina to either 1,500 or 2,000+ to avoid any danger without landing. Carryweight and health are important too.

Most tips should be erased as they were posted pre flyer nerf. Carry weight and stamina are the only things you should increase. Remember to rest your bird.

This Dino is extremely good mid game because it can carry sabertooths dire wolfs etc, it also has good weight so you can take it on metal runs

Set up a ballista on your base if you live near where they spawn, and shoot them out of the sky using Chain Bolas. Be sure not to let them fall from too high, as they could easily die.

In my opinion, nothing beats an Argentavis when It comes to collect Prime Meat, Fish or Normal. Helpful in Scorched Earth(Used to steal Wyvern Eggs), but you'd need to be real fast or real lucky to get away from one. I once had a large cage full of them(if I remember, I had 9.), and I rarely was defeated with them(NOOOOOO MANTICORE), but overall, they are a truly amazing creature in the game.

When you have KO the tame put a wood spike fence around it to protect from other dinos

For easy kill, hide in the water and shoot out with crossbow or use a pike. It won't often be able to reach you from piking range

I generally prefer Argenavis as more of tank type flier and or a carrier due to their large weight capacity perfectly suitable for supply runs or carrying players, it has its pros and cons while It may not be the quickest

To knock out very efficiently, have a high health pteranodon and lure it to a mountain or safe place for you and let a friend shoot tranq it while you fly in circles and let it hit you. Easy. By the time it stays running, you should of put enough shots in to get it a few seconds after it runs

On the Island there are lots of them on the eastern side of the north-west mountain, where you can aggro them with your Ptera and lure them to the near beach. Kill more argies for prime meat and fast taming.

Good for when your a low level tribe and need to do metal runs as they have good weight and stamina

If no trap is near, kite the argy around in a circle. It's AOE won't be able to hit you.

Make a pin with the Dino gate having at least 2 foundation on the right and left. Once inside the Dino gate ensure its 3 walls long atleast. Draw the argy in than do a cycle if on a bird fly out and make a hard right. This will distract it so you can jump off and close the door.
