They are very good for transporting resources because of their weight reduction also they are like a portable smithy

If you find one in flat ground, kill something around it and put it in a trap, and the Arge will fly straight in.

They have 50% reduction on most heavy resources

Just tamed my first argy, with a few tranq arrows and a crossbow. just make it follow you to a beach with no agros and knock it.

Waaay less scary than you may think

I play on ark xbox but when i played on ragnarok no argentavis would show up i didnt see a single one not even a call

These guys can’t be ridden in caves on mobile not sure about other flyers so not very fun

So To Tame a Argy I recommend using Tranq Darts If You have Acess to that If you only have tranq arrows and a cross bow you can use that

I realized on one of my mining trips to a mountain that the argie, once it has nothing but metal in it's inventory, will tell you how much metal ingots you are ging to get without you having to calculate it.

On mobile you can actually find them in redwood forest but not sure with pc/console.

What you will need

Knockout items:crossbow tranq arrows/bow tranq arrows/longneck knockout bullets

Taming food:raw mutton/prime meat /kibble/raw meat

:around 12-37 narcotics :200 -300 biotoxin:don’t be afraid to use biotoxin my tames never die to it check it’s Hp just in case tho

A trap a common and expensive method you will need

:large stone dino gateways 4x and doors for em when you’ve made your trap in a cube shape without top open all of gates I keep 3 closed do what you want Agro an argy and run into trap quickly escape through cracks close the gates and just tranq it out the other way…….

The risky method: get any knockout item you brought and shoot it fly away on a tame shoot again and keep doing that until it knocked then boom you have an argy.

Pros: they are so useful for collecting crystal stone and metal simply go to the area with theese resources and get em they’re weight is 2x better then any pteranodon :they can pickup anything to a parasaur and smaller I used mine to tame ankys and dodics :

CONS:they are pretty slow but can be fixed with speed levelling : they normally spawn in the redwoods and mountains when your taming you could get ambushed by wolves Carnos and lots more so be careful

Uhmmmm uhmmmmm hello, hello, yes you, you, read this, now!, K if you read this, im just gonna tell you how to tame an argy very easy, but, maybe it's just for me, ok let's start first prepare a Tranq arrows or Tranq dart or some thing to knock it of and a crossbow for the Tranq Arrow and a riffle for the Tranq dart, and then prepare some narcotic for 40 torpor or an bio toxin for a 80 torpor raising, after that go prepare a tamed itchy (itchyosaurus)

And the itchy have to use a saddle, after that, go and prepare a meat, prime meat or kibble if you want to tame it faster, after that ride your itchy, and then just go to the island in the top in the right map ( i forget what the name of the island pls don't judge me ) well the island was on top of herbivore island and it was have much of carnivore, and then after you go to the island i Will not recommended to go from your itchy ( unles for some reason ), coz the island was dangerous, and when you see an argy shot it, and if the Arrow or dart or anything of it hit the argy the argy is gonna chase you then you just need to shot it until it knocked out then put a meat or kibble and surely check the unconcious bar if it reduce, feed it a bio toxin/narcotic, and you have to guard it incase a Dino just attack the argy, and congrats you have an argy

Best place to find Argus is at carbon island. That’s where I tamed my first one

Argys are great for material runs on any minerals/ores, I usually grab an anky and fly towards one of the mountains. Any metal mined by the anky is kept for their 85% weight reduction, and any crystal or obsidian is placed into the argy. This duo make setting up a base much easier anywhere, due to the Argy’s smithy saddle and carrying abilities.

If you want to tame argentavis you have to use 10x soothing balm with raw meat. It takes only 1second

Don’t waste narcotics, Farm a whole load of Narcoberrys they work equal just Narcoberrys need a little more at a time for it to stay unconscious but overall Narcoberrys are good too.

REMEMBER TO MAKE A TRAP. This is really important if you plan on taming a argy. They will just run / kill u

This really isn’t a hard tame. The Argentavis has a “Rapid Regeneration” after eating the corpse of a dead animal. It also has a 50% weight reduction (example: 1 raw metal was 1.0 lbs but is now 0.5 on the argentavis) on Metal, Crystal, and Obsidian!

You can unlock there saddle at level 62! It’s a long journey until you get to that level so tame a pteranodon just to get the hang of an argy!
