Fun fact about argy: when they are knocked out they snore very loudly and ugly. They sound like snoring zombies

F*ck traps, here's the raw way of how to tame the Argent:

1: find a preferably empty spot of land, kill and destroy nearby obstructions (creatures, trees, etc)

2: find your Argentavis: Argy's are rarely found on the ground, so that's one thing. (B); they have a kinda small aggro range, so damaging it to lure is highly recommended.

3: "so anyway I started blastin'" (oh and btw K.O'd creatures do not take fall damage)

4: the real horde survival begins, things here and there may smell you and try to kill you, and if you're dead, so is your tame, and if you're really resourceful, harvest the bodies of your enemies for meat/prime meat to feed your new pawn of your army.

Using it is underrated and good and need darts to noked out

Swipe upwards on the left side of your screen

Dont ride any flyers to water, they will drop you and let you drown, they dont swim, they hate water

I got dropped to ocean and died to mantas then bird tried to attack them and bird died

The Argentavis is THE metal run creature. It's high weight, plus the ability to pick up ankylosaurus, make it one of, if not THE best at what it does. If you find yourself in need of transporting large amounts of material, an argentavis is usually your go-to. They aren't very good at travel, as they are rather slow. However, their high base weight, stamina, and their reduction in weight on many materials, make them some of the best haulers and farmers you can find.

Argys weight reduction is not just metal crystal and obsidian. They have weight reduction for many other resources and are hands down the best flier for moving weight

If you taming an argie of any level doing bother using a trap.

I just use any fast mount like a raptor, iguanodon and even a Sarco could do the job and I blast it with arrows. Hit and run, hit and run.

By the way I got a 150 argie with this method on a sarco so it works quite well.

Idk about everyone but In war these guys can be used to transport to the frontlines fast

Argentavis are pretty good for carrying things long distances if you have your argentavis leveled up on speed. Very fun to have!

Dododex Says you can't knock it out with fists cause 100% chance of death but they are wrong. I just did it on official ASA with a level 90. The trick is you have to let the argy periodically eat your body to regen health. I had to die like 10+ times but it is doable. Some of those deaths were not intentional tho.

Anyway the method is simple (ASA)

Build

-one stone foundation

-three stone walls

-one slanted stone roof

Drop foundation. Put 2 walls down next 2 eachother as double wide doorways. And the 3rd as a secret door. Attach the roof to the middle wall extending out toward the unused opening acting as a funnel. Find low argy. Lure into opening. Go out thru secret door as it follows you in. Viola. Trapped argy. Now position yourself behind the secret door so that your punches hit but his attacks don't and Bam. You k.o. an argy beach Bob style day 1 with limited supplies. You may however want a few beds tho because as I stated. You will be dying a lot and feeding it your own body to keep its health up.

There is however one caveat. Flyers do not like staying in traps with no players in render distance. So you do need somebody to stay nearby to ensure he doesn't fly away when you die.
