I have a lvl 40 Argy named Falcone. I was hoping to breed a very beautiful male with her, but he mate was stuck in redwoods and got killed. I got a apprentice argy saddle blueprint, which took me hours to make. But in the end, it was worth it. Argys are pretty helpful, but can be annoying at times. They help you pick things up, and a decent lvl can have good weight. If you pick a wild raptor up with an Argy, it can't pounce on you. Also, their stam is the decent too. Good for travelling long distances, whether flying full speed or regular flying.

But heres a consequence... They are slow, so slow that a pteranodon can beat them in a race. They spawn in the Artic, or the place near the artic. The saddle is unlocked at lvl 62 and can be crafted in the smithy. One more thing about Argies are that they are easy to fight in the wild.

These guys are the most useful and the most annoying creatures in the mobile version. I’ve tamed a few of them, you just need a few tranq arrows and plenty of meat. They’re most common in the northern half of the map but if you don’t enjoy freezing to death go to carno inland (the desolate chunk of rock in the north east corner of the map where nubs go to die) where there’ll probably be a few low level argys (that short for argentavis) flapping around. Just shoot one full of tranq arrows somewhere away from the usual carnage found in places on carno island. If you can’t get one to come at you kill something, a sabertooth should do the trick, and an argy should try to eat it, (and yes, the pesky vultures can and will try to steal your kills) they can smell corpses from far away. Hit /\ so nubs see. This is for the mobile version, made by choptamer. You can find me on the official server weathertop, unless you have a present for me stay away.

Once tamed you have a weight reduction for certain things like metal and they can withstand the cold so if you are grinding metal use this to your advantage and go up to the snowy mountains

argys are good tamming tame just pair it up with a trap for small creatures and boom

To tame just use a crossbow and keep shooting while having a friend agro it to you while shooting feed it raw meat and. Done

I tamed my first 160lvl argy inside a spike wall hedge. Then quickly ogled it up to lvl206 by “finding” knowledge notes while Mounted

Might be a bit hard to tame one if you're low level like me, but like all the other comments said, It's absolutely worth it. I had a bit of luck and ran into a level 35 argy, after being chased for a bit and then chasing it a bit I tamed it with raw prime meat and got it to level 40+. Equipped even with a primitive saddle, this bird can tear through anything that's level 30 or below. Terror birds? Sabertooth? Lift up and kill. Need prime meat? Slaughter some paracertheriums or diplodocus. Want a Rex bone helmet? Fly straight into its back and start clawing! So far the only things I have encountered with argy and haven't managed to kill are Titanosaurs(for obvious reasons) and Allosaur packs (I am positive that the argy can handle them with a few easy prey nearby, but I wouldn't take that chance.). No Rex or Spino or Bronto can stand up to it as long as there are other prey nearby for it to regenerate its health. So go ahead and tame one as soon as u can!

Just got my first argy. All I can say is it is AMAZING because of its weight reduction on metal, obsidian, etc. Definitely a must-have for any player. If you like to go BIG on projects or just want loads of extra items, definetly get some extra argys.

Best place to find a good one is carno island

Its ability to pick up small to medium sized creatures makes it easier to tame said creatures. You simply build a taming-pen (I use pillars), pick up the creature and drop into pen. Leave gaps between to shoot through. Thanks if you found this useful.

You dont need a trap to Tame It. I tamed It on mobile with muy tapejara.

If not playing solo you can grab a ridden Ankylo to fly around to metal deposits to get a quick load of metal with your ankylo riding friend doing all the smashing work.

Works well for beavers and doedi as well.

great for loading up on resources (ore/crystal/obsidian) at the mountains and flying back to your base because of its high weight capacity and weight reduction.

Hello im hawk the argy. Today i will show you my species utility information thingy-

It is a highly reccomended tame to middle game or half middle game players, but since its saddle lvl 62 it may needed some grinding! (Accidently tamed a lvl 1 argy so i repeatedly spam my points on movement speed)

Since its weight reduction of metal its very usefull! It can be your new best freind but it cant travel in caves so i still reccomend bary if u wana do cave hunting or exploring.

How to tame them with no traps!

get ur pt or just travel in the red woods or mountains to find argy’s but becarefull it has saber tooth’s and scorpions there! Id you find one make sure to make ur distance but u can just run far from it while its chasing you since it has the speed of a walking pt.. Once its knocked out feed it stego kibble (mob) Or prime meat! If you tamed it already and its a female. Lucky! Bc making argentavis kibble can tame a spino easily!!

Tbh, i tamed 12 argy by using at least 20 tranq arrows and a crossbow, a flyer, put it on passive, and let em attack the flyer. I reccomend using around 50 tranqs [if on 150, the medium hardcore] or 25 [For 30, the easier hardcore] I also reccomend using cooked meat like raw prime or cooked prime b/c it works better than normal raw meats
