If you find one and you have a quetz with a platform saddle, Put the quetz on passive and start shooting the argie. At some point it will fly off and if it is high enough fly below it and shoot it 1-2 times and try to catch it if done right you can takes your tame anywhere!

These are meant to be the greatest mining burden buddies you can get. They have reduction of weight for obsidian(for polymers), crystal, and metal(a very important mid-late game resource. They are also able to super heal when they eat corpses, making them less likely to die and more likely to carry more back and forth.

I've been holding off taming one of these cause I had problems when I tried on console a few years ago and when I did on mobile it blew my mind, they can carry so much metal and stuff I had no idea they had a reduction, I could have saved so much time if I tamed a few of these sooner.

Taming these Guys are easy, they are very slow, I tamed one by just waking around in a circle and firing tranq darts, you could also sit on top of a Turtle or stego and have then tank the hits while you fire darts at the argentavis

A budget metal run plan for people on level 40

Use one or two argies to hold metal

Use 1 saddled pteradon for riding

Use 3-10 dimorphodons for protection

Argys aré one of the best tames, they can pick up anky's (who have like, Weight reduction on metal and obsidian if im not wrong) and be used to farm metal like crazy.

If on aberration, karkinos Is also good because It can pick two anky's and farm metal like crazy x2 whit the con of Weight and not being a flyer.

Argys aré pretty tanky and great fighters.

Theire saddle also permits them to be flying small bases due to It being a forge.

Theyre quite easy tames due to not being fast and because if theire dying you can feed them any corpse.

A trap made out of four-five wooden/stone normal Gates, two doors for these and placed infront of each other wide enough to be passed trought by you or a small tame like a raptor and you'll have one in no time.

I just tamed one of these, and so far i don’t think I can pick up dinos that aren’t tamed in what I play on. (Nintendo switch) what should be my next dinosaur? I tamed a low level one but it's easy for every level. First get 3 Dino gates and 2 gateway. Place one gateway and be ready with the other. Let one Aggro on you, run in the gate, use the other gateway and boom. Feed it with every type of meat you have, some narcos/biotox.

Can actually fit through 1x1 wall gaps, both flying and grounded, despite the dododex entry saying it fits through 1x2 gaps

These are one of the best early to mid game tames on the island. These are relatively easy to tame but i will show you my favorite way to tame them.

first you should make some stone gateways and place them in a tunnelshaped structure,then place two dinosaur gates on both ends, make sure its just big enough so you can sneak through the cracks in between the gateway and the argy cant . next lire it in and knock it out, i reccomend using prime meat to tame it as its pretty easy to get and it is a good taming food. and then ride off into the sunset with your flying dinosaur chicken. :)

Do not go to a corner I learned that the hard way

I don’t know if people know this but you don’t really need stone gateways you can use wood the highest level I used wood for was 180

Best way to tame these

Build a Taming Raft Dino Door+Cage with Windows to shoot through

Tame a pteranodon

Look for some low level Argis to kill for Prime meat

Only try and tame level 130 and above

Lure the Argi to the boat by letting it hit you ever 15 seconds or so

Trap it in the cage

Shoot it with a crossbow (narc arrows)

Feed it the prime

Bing bang boom there ya go

After that just fly around to exporters notes to get leveled fast and take down some brontos.
