They are a simple tame for the middle class. Just get some prime meat and a few tranq arrows and DONE. DO NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE IN MOBILE HE WILL IMEDIETLY DIE💀

I remember Encountering this in the snow biome there are literally so many of them that I started murdering them by a pump shotgun and a simple rifle including a assault rifle and then started massacre the heck out of them

I tamed one today with no trap I had a mastercraft crossbow with tranq arrows and fur armor it was chasing me and I just kept running away and shooting it it knocked out with just 3 tranq arrows I tamed it with raw meat in 15 minutes but keep in mind the one I tamed was just a level 20

How to tame an argentavis is if you're bad at the game like me.

Supplies needed- flying mount, tranqs (darts are recommended), and some narcotics or biotoxin

First go to the non snowy mountain in the east (on island btw) then find your preferred argy, next fly in front of his face to get it to aggro. Lead him up the mountain until you get to a spot where you can sit there, then got off your mount and start shooting it, rinse and repeat until he's sleeping. Feed him meat and narcotics and bam you got an argy.

For the past three days I have been running around the whole island with my very strong direwolf in search of a high level argy, i had encountered many 420’s but I honestly wanted a 435 or 450(max level), after the first two days I was losing hope and was about to give up, but luckily I had made the right decision of going on one more trip around the volcano. When I got there I saw a big group of argys and got excited, when I pulled out my spyglass all The argys with the dull and ugly colors were low levels but fortunately the silver female with a black crest and white wings was a max level!!! I’m thinking of naming her angel👍

Excellent on scorched earth for an all purpose mount. Great for getting large amounts of resources over long distances, and it can carry many of the creatures. Most argentavis are strong enough if you pump in a few levels to handle most wild dinos, like rexes or paracers. I wouldn’t recommend fighting or going near rock golems, wyverns, or deathworms unless your sure you can take them on.

The argy has a saddle that’s basically a smithy, and the equus has a saddle that is a mortal and pestle! Just ride your argy, pick up your equus, and your good to go!

When luring into a pen use a pelagornis instead of a pteranodon because they have better health

Just tamed a lvl 120 Argy! Took me about 4 days (game time) to tame and he is worth every second that I waited. He is very good with transporting animals back in forth and packs a pretty good punch. I highly recommend this animal as a must have tame. He has a really good wait reduction and is great for resource runs. I highly recommend that you don’t try to tame one in the Tundra with clothe armor though; not so fun.

Don’t wast materials on a trap. As long as you have a decent longneck, just shoot it. It will run, but as long as you have a good Rifle, you can take the argy out.

This is Basicaly a rite of passage tame one of the most nessecary tames for single player

also you can use wood gates for the trap if you need to save materials

Now that TLC 2 is out, these things are beasts. Their saddle is a smithy, they fly, they get weight reductions on METAL INGOTS and they can carry two dinos. harvesting a corpse gives them a buff that regenerates about 450 health over 20 seconds. A absolute must-have tame.

Level 45+, if you ever get raided and are wondering what the best dinosaur to start with to help you build up, this is the one.

A common trap for Arial creatures in general is that you craft about 4 stone dino gateways, then place them in front of each other (so that it's just a straight row of gateways). The ones on the outside place a little farther away so that you can walk through the sides, then have gates on the outer gatways having one of them open so that the bird can fly in, once you find the bird of choice, kite it into the trap, go through the side space that is larger on the end, and quickly go round to the open gate to close it and now you have easy tame stuck inside your trap. (You can modify this if you want, particularly the size of the gateways for the bigger creatures and it can be used for terrestrial creatures too if you want)

Hey don’t bother with traps just get tranquility dart and rifle or bow and tranquility arrows. Great tame. Just remember to keep other tames away or passive.

If you are on mobile or the island.

Climb the mountain in the redwood forest

Reccomend a journeyman bow with tranq arrows or something else with high torpor and a long range but a basic bow should work

Stand fairly far away from the argy it should look about as big as a flying pteradon.

Shoot the argy continuously as it flies towards you dodge if it gets too close otherwise keep shooting it until it faints. Very easy and pretty safe if you time it correctly the argy flees before it gets to hit you.

Their kibble is steep kibble in mobile not the normal kibble I saw asked so much time.

you already know probably but lets still go over it!

set a trap (required)

make it bloody like half HP or low HP

kill ANYTHING than you can drag or kill inside the trap

The argy will start losing hunger rapidly

then any type of meat! since this is a starve tame and it probably wont affect much taming effectiveness, just feed it regular meat!

but i recommend prime meat tho, if its a high level one probably 120-150

For high level argys you will need to build a trap using 3 dinosaur gateways and 2 gates, but for low levels you can just dart them and wait for them to fall.
