ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
Chomp a Cnidaria for an attack buff, similar to the Megatherium bug buff.
Once buffed clearing the water caves and/ or Alphas is a breeze on these.
These large turtles have a large amount of health, and have damage reduction similar to the carbonemys. Aim for the head and fins to avoid reduced damage. Along with damage reduction, they are immune to torpor. They are often attacked by other water dinos, so prepare for other dinos to come fight both you and the archelon.
Works great as an underwater transport unit, as it has a high base weight, decent movement speed and immunity to Cnidaria and Eels
Tamed Archelon in water produce Algae, which can be used as mutton for herbivores or to make Algae Sushi, a consumable item that can be remotely used on creatures to restore lost taming effectiveness
Passive tame using bio toxin. Can lure onto a beach and trap, moves slowly. Also bio toxin is good source and passively creates algae that can be used to tame herbivores.
Don’t attack at lvl one please please please I’m begging and saving ur time
If you don't have biotoxin to feed them, Superior kibble can be used instead.
About archelon:
-These turtles can be found deep underwater
-Are passive tames(feed them with biotoxin)
- Their saddles are multipassager, so you can bring yo
homies!
- You can make sushi with their algae(drops when killed),
wich can recover lost taming effectivness!
Hope this helped in anything!

When tamed, these guys are amazing at getting biotoxin as they can’t be stunned much like basilosaurus. They also are super useful as the algae that generates in their inventory (more effectively while in water) can be used as taming food for herbivores at similar effictiveness as mutton. Archelon is also good at gaming tusos or ceratosaurus due to their super high health and abundance of higher quality saddles in drops
