The more Melee damage an Ankylo has, the less hits it will take to mine a certain material. For example; A low meele damage Ankylo might have to hit a regular metal rock 3 times before completely mining it. To where a high level meele damage Ankylo would only have to hit a regular metal rock once to completely mine it. Highly recommended to upgrade 'Weight' and 'Weight' (Also a little movement speed of you can)

The Ankylosaurus is the most versatile mount in the game. Once you get an anky, gathering resources will become infinitely easier. Get an anky early, as they are easy to knock out and tame - my brother and I used slingshots. Once your anky is at 1000-1200 health, pump your levels into melee damage, and soon enough you'll be ripping through metal and obsidian nodes like a hot knife through butter.

I didn’t know where to put this so ima put this here. When I upgrade my anky’s melee, and when I hit metal rocks it gives me LESS metal. so when I first tame it it gave me about 120 raw metal each hit, but now that I upped my ankys melee, each swing gives me like 75. Pls help me

They collect more flint than metal. They are VERY STUPIDLY SLOW. But, they are the creatures that collect metal the most. They pack a very powerful punch. They are shields.

If you set it to wander it gathers flint, metal and stone then comes back to you right before it gets encumbered, so they autofarm flint, metal and stone basically

For me these are bad tames because they are annoying to tame while on a raft.Mine gathers less metal per rock then my apprentice pick(at least that’s what I think 🤔)and is very slow I tamed mine at herbivore island.keep in mind that if you attack one they all will attack you.

It's best known for its excellent ability to gather metal, crystals, oil and obsidian. However, a well-trained anky can also hold its own in combat. The anky can take a beating while also dishing one out. Its attacks do significant knockback and the tail swipe dishes out good damage as well. Its biggest problem is its terrible speed. It moves slightly faster in water than land so it does well at gathering from river rocks and oil nodes near the shore. I wouldn't go super deep with them, but a quick dive along the beach could reward you with plenty of useful resources.

I play old ark mobile where magmasaurs don’t exist so this is the old ark mobile gathering king To be honest magmasaurs are hard to tame and take care of also Ankys where first.
