One of the best tames in the game. It is an excellent work dino, it can harvest almost any resource especially metal,obsidian,flint,crystal. It can also be a powerful war dino, put points into HP and Melee Damage, it's aoe attack can be devastating to medium/small dinos. The ankylosaurus' only downside is it's speed. I'm an ank fanboy to say the least.

Idk but it says Anky's can't destroy stone but I've seen during a countr raid my Anky was a stowaway on their boat (with me n my Tera) and I was getting ready to jump in front of the boat while it was driving but they were stopped and I was guarding my Anky bc it was hammering on their doorframe and the Anky destroyed it! I'm so confused about that ever since, was it a glitch or something but after it broke in RIP 125 Anky he got us a lot of ascended gear~marineparkkid, Xbox one ark no life

I recommend pumping melee damage as it will harvest more metal. Combine with something with a high weight and you can get a lot t of metal in a very short time.

The ankylo is a slow mount, when you are a low lvl survivor, try to build a penn near a resource location. If u are slightly higher and have obtained a quetzal or wyvern(scorched earth) u can transport the ankylo to the iron veins quite easily. If u want even more effiency try refining the metal on the harvesting location, or try putting forges on a quetz platform saddle and a ramp to get up with the ankylo. Use thatch as fuel for the forges as wood will leave extra weight after burning(charcoal).

Ankys can be used to farm unlimited metal, crystal obs etc. It takes 2 players. On in a quetz with a platform saddle and a ramp on the front. the other flying the quetz. Just scoop the anky with a player riding it and hit away. For some reason the ankys weight from the inventory doesn't count so the quetz can fly you across the map. If you fall off the quetz just scoops you back up!

So these guys are the absolute KINGS when it comes to gathering metal, not only do they gather it in the hundreds from every metal rock, they also make it weigh a sixth of what it normally would when they carry it(45 pounds in a stack of 300) so with a leveled weight and melee damage stat they can gather and carry an ungodly amount of metal for you, oh and you hardly have to worry about them dying to anything short of an alpha or giga, they can have thousands of health and do a fair bit of damage with that club tail

Fly on a platform quetz, use argy to carry anky to the metal, use anky to gather and store metal

Everyone keeps saying lvl melee WRONG!if u play mobile u cant get amber from metal nodes on an anky get a asc pick or crowbar and have anky follow u on lowest setting and have it carry 4 u they get reuced raw metal weight easy 5k runs

I need help. It won’t harvest (I’m on mobile). Is there specific steps? Anything I could do? I pick it up with my Argy and hover over the special rocks, but it won’t swing at them. Suggestions, or does it just not work?

Why can't ankys damage stone or metal they should

You will need it to gather metal and obsidian if your pick breaks

A person collects about 18 obsidian from 3 obsidian rocks while the ankylo collects about 16 obsidian per obsidian rock

The anko is a super good berry and rare flower gathering Dino

Put the anklylosaurus and quetzal on the volcano to get lots of metal and obsidian (and crystals if you need them). To get the most goods out of a metal run pick the ankylo up with the quetzal and then just swing. The anklylo will get encumbered really quickly but the quetz won't so get more goods. Also I believe there is a way to get all the metal in one run without the quetzal gaining weight but it requires a platform saddle on the quetzal. If you did it right picking up and dropping the anklylo will put it on a ceiling and you can fly with it without picking it up. I think I know the way but I can't explain how it is done in words. If you did this with a player you won't get as much metal and you have to stop afterwards cause you won't collect anymore when hitting the rock. And a anklylo alone would take longer to get the same amount of metal and it will take awhile to get all of it to base(for me and people who has there home far from the volcano)

I don’t want to spoil this but they get almost harvest the same amount of metal a master craft metal pick can . Although they do get metal faster and also a metal weight reduction buff by 75%. Can be carried by an arge

The anklo is great at collecting metal and stone so if you are trying to make a stone base I recommend getting an anklo
