The recommended berry count isnt very accurate, recommended 300 mojo berries i tamed it on 150 with starve taming

PASSIVE, AGGRESSIVE OR NEUTRAL?

Ankylosaurus(or anky, as they are more commonly called) are very tanky, relatively small dinosaurs. They are docile, which means they attack only when provoked. MAKE SURE to maintain distance, as that big boulder can tear through you! THE EASIEST way is through tranq arrows, as these dinos are not strong enough to really waste tranq darts on.

TAMING

The easiest way to tame it is through tranqs(like i said). Arrows from a crossbow or even an ascendant bow (cough cough mobile players) are enough to knock this lil beast. Feed any fruit or vegetable(rare ones increase taming speed such as rockarrot, savoroot or longrass) or even kibble. Wait for a bit and bingo, you got an anky!

USES

These guys are BEASTS at harvesting metal and flint, and while only unlocking their saddle at LEVEL 36, these guys are great early game gatherers to create your needed smithy tools and fabricated tools. They also have an 85% WEIGHT REDUCTION on metal, which make them great for transporting metal over decent distances. I say decent because of their abysmal speed, which is only fair because of their bulkiness. THE BEST way to go on metal runs with these guys is with an Argy. Now, they don’t unlock early, so be wary, but Argies have a 50% WEIGHT REDUCTION on ores, because they have a smithy on their back, so, pick up your Anky with your Argy and start the metal runs!

The best place to tame these guys is on the herbavor island in the southeast of the main island

So for the Anky, bring Mejo berries, and a few narcotics, and tranq it while running back as it chases you. Keep in mind that these are very slow, and outrunning them is an easy task, but also keep in mind that the health on these tanks are rlly good, so if you plan on killing it, good luck. Great dino for gathering metal and it's almost easty to tame just shoot it with trank arrows in the head while walking backwards feed mejobery and then you got you're anky

Don’t start feed it narcs immediately. Wait until it’s at about 300 torpidity and then feed it every time it gets down to 300 again. You could probably wait even longer, but it may be a little risky. Doing this will save you a ton of narcs and make you lose less taming efficiency.

Herbivore island has a ton of these u shoot with tranqs and move backwards no carnivore live there so tame it and get metal

If playing on the island go to the herbivore island by raft then find one make sure there are no others around then shoot it with tranq bc they are really slow

Fastest way to tame

Knock out: ankylo.

Keep unconscious: ankylo.

Give ankylo: berries.

And BOOM! You have ankylo.

I just wanted you to wait for the food to drain so it is tamed quickly

If you are playing with someone and want to tame and anky, follow these steps and I think you & your buddy will get an anky. Step 1: Get any weapon that can shoot tranq darts/arrows. Step 2: Get any flyer that is able to pick the anky like a quetzal. Step 3: Grab the anky with the arge or have your friend do it. Step 4: Very carefully shoot the anky with the tranq darts/arrows. Step 5: once the anky is 1 tranq dart/arrow away from being knock out, put the anky down and shoot it with the last tranq dart/arrow so that if you didn't drop it it doesn't fall and possibly die if it's weak. They might be hard-ish to tame but its mega worth it

They aren’t very fast so you should be good to just run away unless you wanna place a bear trap just in case.

for starters, these are very useful tames for getting metal, flint and stone (like tonnes). There is a saddle, they can be found like anywhere (exept caves and like volcano areas). Try getting them in the head with tranq arrows or darts (darts are better).

The best for metal get high damage and bring a quetzal or rg to carry if you can’t get a rg then pump points into weight until you get one then get a new one and pump damage

If on servers have one person sit on the anky and the other fly the rg harvest that way P.S it takes practice to get it done

A rg can Carry a decent amount but a quetzal is much better

A easy to get hide is to shoot these thing with a bow while running away (easy for beginning of game)

For beginners:

Go to Herbivore Island (off the southeast coast) and tame one there. Take it back to your base on a raft with walls (make sure it doesn't fall off)

How to tame: defensive… try finding a knockout with high damage. Try low level, when you knock it out, feed it narcoberries, then wait. Boom! You have your own base-crusher!

How to Oof: it’s hard to kill a very armored dino… but if you have a rex or so, you train it! Then you can oof the base-oofers.

Don’t knock it out near any potential danger if you don’t have spikes to place around it I would advise using an army to mov dit to a safer location if you have one

1: Find Ankylosaurus

2 : if you have an Argentavis, take it to a taming pen or other desirable place for taming.

3 : Start filling it with tranq arrows. Walk backwards while shooting it in the head..

4 : When it tries to run away, use it’s slow turning speed to keep a line of sight to it’s head.

5 : Now that it’s knocked out, you can start taming it with berries or other.

Don't even need a trap. Just make sure the area is safe then tranq it. These guys are slow, so just don't be so next to them and you'll be fine. After knocked out, you'd better want a strong dino to protect it, because Ankylos take long to tame without kibble. And that's it, you'll have one of the best farmers of the game, very easy tame
