A handy guide to utility tames:

Achatina- Mainly found in swampy areas. Tame with sweet veggie cake. After tame, produces lots of CP and Org Poly when set to wander.

Anglerfish- found in deep oceans, the anglerfish is relatively hard to tame. It doesn’t require a saddle, and gathers huge quantities of silica pearls

Anky- Found in a plethora of different places. Look in snow, mountain, jungle, desert, etc. A relatively easy knockout tame, the anky is wonderful at gathering metal.

Argentavis- Found in mountains, snow, or desert biomes mainly. Another relatively easy tame, reduces weight for many useful materials. With high weight capacity, they are useful for transporting items or creatures. They also have a smithy in their saddle. Also, on a sadder note, Dilos got into my breeding buIdling and killed my best female 😢

Beelzebufo- Found in swamps mainly. A very easy tame, can gather cementing paste from insects.

Castoroides- Found in swampy areas, some snow biomes, and rivers/lakes. Not the easiest tame, but not to hard. When tamed, they gather wood like a pro! They have a smithy saddle.

Direbear- Found in redwoods and snow biomes. Lives alongside dangerous creatures, making it tricky to tame, but once tamed, it’s like a metal sickle that gathers 5x the fiber

Doedicurus- Found in redwoods, mountains, snow, desert, volcano. A relatively easy tame, although if it takes too much damage, it will roll up, drastically increasing the torpor it takes. Once tamed, it is a beast at gathering obsidian and stone

Dunkleosteus- Difficult tame thanks to its heavy armor. An oceanic tame, they are the anky/Doedic of the sea, gathering large amounts of metal and stone

Karkinos- found in Aberration and Val and CI and Genesis. in my opinion, these are utility tames. They are difficult to tame due to the fact that you can’t use normal tranquilizers. Once tamed, they can carry a maximum of two creatures. Carrying doedics or ankys in their claws can be a very efficient way to get metal.

Mammoth- Found in snow. Not too hard to tame, and gathers wood very effectively!

Moschops- found on beaches and forests. can harvest many different materials effectively. You can choose which materials your Moschops can harvest better

Quetzal-very hard tame, but doable, especially with a tribe. Has astounding weight and is great for transport!

Snow Owl- Easy knockout tame found in extinction snow biome. When tamed, can heal other creatures and is a great travel mount.

Therizinosaurus- Challenging tame found in jungles. Can gather wood, thatch and fiber quite well.

Thorny Dragon- Easy tame found in deserts. A good tame for gathering wood on SE, a map lacking many normal wood gatherers.

If you set it to wander it gathers flint, metal and stone then comes back to you right before it gets encumbered, so they autofarm flint, metal and stone basically

If you are in beginner game and are trying to tame a fast mount like more laptops or procoptodon, JUST KILL THE MOM AND TAME THE BABY. It works so well and the first kill is kinda hard cuz there fast but once you get one fast guy it's free. But this applies to almost all creatures with babies following them. Just trust

For me these are bad tames because they are annoying to tame while on a raft.Mine gathers less metal per rock then my apprentice pick(at least that’s what I think 🤔)and is very slow I tamed mine at herbivore island.keep in mind that if you attack one they all will attack you.

Why Meat Jerky is needed to make Kibble😭. Why its so hard to make Kibble? Meat Jerky is the most necessary ingredient in making Kibble, but it need OIL😑. How can a newbie with worst dinos can get it? There are many reasons to make Kibble other than taming, like after breeding every other BASIC dino, they are asking for some Random Kibble made with some random dino egg 😭. Its so frustrating, i have no resources to tame a better dino(cant make narcos, just because there is no easy way to spoil meat faster) or to level up my dinos faster 😭. Living in Fear on my small base😢.

I wish there was easy way to make Kibble like PC/Console. Please everyone report this to devs so they can implement on Mobile too.

Also i wish there was easy way to get Oil or easy way to get Meat Jerky.

Btw i am newbie, watched some videos of Ark PC and played on Mobile. I am just level 30🥲. Also can't level up i don't know why😭.

It's best known for its excellent ability to gather metal, crystals, oil and obsidian. However, a well-trained anky can also hold its own in combat. The anky can take a beating while also dishing one out. Its attacks do significant knockback and the tail swipe dishes out good damage as well. Its biggest problem is its terrible speed. It moves slightly faster in water than land so it does well at gathering from river rocks and oil nodes near the shore. I wouldn't go super deep with them, but a quick dive along the beach could reward you with plenty of useful resources.

To trap make an easy 2x2 stone trap with stone door ways on all sides and a ramp up. Then you can KO it easy with darts arrows or sling shots

OK so if you want to tame a trike here is a guide

1. Build a tower or have tribe mates

2. Craft bolas, slingshots, and bows

3. Get berries ALOT OF THEM

4. Find a trike

5.Go on tower or have tribe mate attack first

6. Feed it berries

7. Get a saddle

How to tame

1: Get resources to make a trap

Lots of stone wood fiber and thatch

Instructions on building the trap:

Make a 3x3 wood floor

Then put 3 stone doorways on each side

Put ramps on each side (Put 2 ramps one over the other if you need to)

2: Harvest tons of cinidaria venom (At least 100)

3: Harvest 200 berries of each kind

4: Trap it and then use tranq arrows/darts or a bat if you are new to KO

5: Feed berries and once the torpor gets to half, give it 1 to 10 cinidaria venom

6: Tamed

These things are impossible to knock out
