Slow mobility makes this dino a sitting duck. Keep a little distance and you shouldn't have a problem. Crossbow preferred.

Metal is a quarter of its weight in an Ankylo.

The Ankylosaurus is, in my opinion, one of the best dinos to tame as a low level. Not only is it the best dino to gether metal, it is also a great taming mount, because it can collect berries and can kill little things like Raptors easy. This will be one of your most used dinos when you get into the higher levels and taming an Anky as soon as you can make the saddle (lvl 40) is highly recommended.

To tame need mejoberries prob spelt that wrong lol but you need that and either crossbow with tranq arrows or longneck rifle with tranq darts and I would bring about 10-15 narcotics I hope this helps plz like

Ankylos are not useless even in the wild. If you're being chased by a carnivore, run to them. They are very strong depending on its level. And they usually spawn on groups, which means they can kill anything easily.

Crossbow 50 tranqs or more and yeah that’s all

Tip:-Increasing the meele damage will increase the metal harvest rate

these guys are good metal harvesters with a metal carrying bonus you can carry 100 metal and it’s only 25 weight these guys are slow tho so pump some levels in to speed lime 210 speed. Up if this was helpful

This should be able to break stone structures don’t you agree

These guys aren’t the fastest walkers but man in the water they are super fast I learnt if you use the attack ability while in the water it makes you go slightly faster

Not sure if anyone's said this one yet but if you hit the attack to gather berries and immidiatley after hit the other attack button it will gather berries in a full circle around it. Quickly maxes you out on berries by far the best way to gather berries/cactus sap

Get an argy first then find one of these guys, pick ‘em up, and drop them somewhere safe. Shoot the anky until knocked out and tame. P.S make sure your argy is on passive mode.

On mobile, it wont gather automatically like the Deod does. You have to strap an anky saddle to gather metal with it unfortunately

one of these buggers killed my iguanodon, Speckles. I flickin loved that iguanodon. so I did what any sane and reasonable person would do and stole its wife. she's treated like a queen now.

I've heard that you aren't supposed to level the melee past 800, because it will 1 shot the rich metal nodes giving you less metal, instead of two hits, which would give you more metal.

This guy is LITERALLY the most overpowered metal gatherer on at LEAST, The Island! He is just great! I used to use a system where I carried this guy up the mountain I used, using an argemtavis and it worked great. I could carry the guy to the tippy top and have him smashing away at the great metal spots on top there.

I recommend starving the anky first if it’s a high lvl( you can do that for low lvls too) up so noobs can see

So, you are among the many survivors that seek to tame the herbivorous dinosaur Ankylosaurus (I’m calling it anky). Because this would probably be a major turning point in your survival experience, you should probably prepare.

First off, the anky is found in the many mountainous terrain in the island. There, it coexists with many dangerous carnivores like the Trex, raptor, and allosaurus. The anky defends itself with its club tail, using it to deal a deadly blow. But, the anky can also be found in the peaceful HERBIVORE ISLAND, which is an islet at the Southeast Tip of the island. There, ankys are abundant and there are no carnivores.

To tame the anky, check the area around it and clear any unwanted animals. You don’t want a Rex to get a double dish! The anky is very slow. Just walk backwards and shoot it with TRANQUILIZING AMMO which can be unlocked at lvl 21 (tranq arrows).

The anky has many uses:

Carries tons of metal. Also harvests a lot with its tail.

Defends base.

Is a cool Dino!!!
