Not sure if it’s a glitch or maybe one-time only, but potent dust fully knocks this guy out on mobile. Probably wouldn’t work for taming though as it wouldn’t allow me to lvl it up during this time

Make sure you have enough stuff to tame keep it in a safe location

Just use a boomerang if it is available on the map you are playing on. If it's not, just use bear traps and club it.

Heres how to tame this safely 1. Find one 2. Bait it by attacking it 3. Go to a safe place 4. Use your use your crowsbow (and tranqs) 5. Feed it berrys 6. Sleep in a bed 7. Wait a few minutes 8 you got one this is how i tamed my first anky.

The anky is very common on herbivore island, and there are no carnivore on herbivore island. Nothing goes for you unless u hit them first, so tame on!

Keep a look out for mates if you go to herb kill all the lower ankys untill a higher lv spawns I have tamed a lv 145 on herb starve tame is best method

Ankylosaurus

Make sure to not get behind them, you will get slapped with a club that is spiked!

Easy tame. Just walk backwards and shoot your desired ammo. It won’t catch up to you, just be carful of any debris that you are near, as if you walk into it, the ankylo might land a strike! Once you’ve knocked it out (no headshot multiplier) just feed it some mejoberries and keep a couple narcotics on hand just in case (I don’t normally need any) wait a minute and voila you have your very own metal producing Dino!

This animal is

Easier to knock out with darts or arrows from a higher or hill side or run or sprint on a Dino or pterodactyl

It takes a long time to tame just saying

The deo may not collect obsidian any more but this animal collects tons of it. It can also be carried by an Argie and the Argie decreases the weight of obsidian. If you get my gist it is super easy to get tons of obsidian

Great for farming metal get a cross bow/bow wit at least 10 tranq arrows for a low lvl one... And feed it solo kibble after KO.then pump its melee and weight

I've surprisingly found alot In the SW area, but do keep in mind they do attack in packs so be careful of your surroundings.

Remember, when using the anky in a mining platform it has a wide range of attack. It doesn't have to be touching the rock to harvest it, only has to be in range. This will help prevent getting knocked off as often.

As most know, the anky gathers flint, metal, obsidianand similar resources very well, BUT it comes with an added bonus. An anky can "gather" these items from a rock elemental corpse, so it can be used to gather tons of resources from them, as long as it has backup (I.e. Another tamed rock elemental) to help killing the wild ones. P.S. Ankys do NOT do "normal" damage to elementals, surprisingly.

I have one with 7,430 health.they are not going to kill you in the wild. And they’res a giganthapethicus right next to my one I should kill it

If you gonna tame one of this fellas don’t go to mountains because you defenetly can’t kill a 250 giga or rex and they will eat the unconscious ankylo, you can go to herbivore island instead where the biggest threat is just a spino nearby or a megalodon but they are pretty easy to avoid unlike a giga or a rex which are constantly hunting, and the ankylo is uncommon in there so just search the island for one, press up if this was helpful :)
