Where do I find this guy? And what is the best way to tame him?

You can use a crossbow and trang arrows to knock it out because while I'm writing this I'm waiting for my ankylosaurus to tame

On crystal isles they spawn from across the river from the red forest, near to the swamp and up toward the plains. This is the easiest area to tame them in, but watch for raptors, Yuti, Allos and even Argies.

Tamed it! I trapped it with spikes around it so no pests get in!

The anky that didn’t go in trap

On the fjord map the place that I saw them the most was the volcano island

Ankys can knock you back a far distance so make sure your safe when fighting them yourself or with smaller creatures

I once encountered an Anky that had the colors of a sunset

If you want to kill or tame ankylosaurus you will have to go on a huge rock with trank arrows .

The ankylosaurs is a good swimmer. Go to any river and swim with it and hit rocks while your swimming it will not stop moving and it collects faster.

You can either find them in islands/redwoods

They're so slow that you don't really have to worry about them. Just shoot at their head while walking backwards and you'll be fine.
