Need flint or metal? This is the tame for you. Only bd thing about them? Very very slow. They are faster when on following then when being ridden.

Only base melee influences the amount of resources gathered, therefore it is useless to put points there, unless you want the any to be able to defend itself, which actually isn't so useless

Ankys are much faster in water than on land and are able to tank most of the megladons right off the edge of the shore

They can hit like a truck at high levels or if You don’t have armor but they are slow so stay at a range and take shots at them.

The anky is one of the best games in the game for metal,it has a weight reduction on metal and is relatively easy to tame, so how do you do it? The anky is extremely slow so you can easily outrun them and shoot while looking back once at a safe distance. If you want to tame a high level anky, consider building a trap for them,this will stop the anky from fleeing. The higher the melee on Ankylo the more ressources is NOT true. That's a myth. It just means more damage, so that you can destroy nodes in one shot when you reach a certain melee percentage. One shotting nodes = faster farming. After that point is reached, leveling melee is useless (unless you want a fighter ankylo). Level melee until you can one shot nodes, then invest in weight.

Tame one, lvl up health, stam, speed and damage as high as possible then go destroy rock golems and gather rare resources. Best dino for it. Tamed 3 and destroyed a golem in 3 whacks of their tails. Happy Hunting.

These guys are super slow so you should be able to walk backwards while hitting its head with your slingshot or tranq arrows until it passes out. They're not super demanding when it comes to food or narcotics, though crops will make it a considerably quicker tame than berries.

Let him starve and give him the fruit and it's faster and use nacoberis oh narcotics so he stays unconscious for longer

Ankylosaurus is an extremely valuable tame because of their harvesting capabilities, so in this guide I’ll help you to get one for yourself

1. Ankylosaurus are herbivores so you will need to gather berries crops or kibble for them to eat. I would recommend kibble, since it is quick and gives good effectiveness, and is a relatively low tier, however if you are unable to make kibble, and have crops on hand those will work too. If you absolutely need to you can use mejoberries but never use regular berries.

2. To tame an any you will want at least a crossbow with tranq arrows,and a longneck with darts is great. Ankys are very slow and so you will be able to outrun it while shooting. Because of this you won’t need a trap, however you will need to be on pretty even terrain and kill all nearby threats to avoid interruptions. Alternatively you can trap an anky, however if you do choose this method I would recommend picking it up with an argy to trap it in a safe location, because it will be much easier, but if you don’t have one and want to trap it you can

3. Anky torpor doesn’t drop too fast so you shouldn’t need many, if any narcotic (unless you are taming it with mejos) however it is important to either protect it while it is asleep, since they tend to spawn near things that like to eat them, or go far enough away to de render them so that they can’t be attacked.

Metal only weighs 0.25 kg in an ankylo instead of 1 kg.

The Anky is the M-1 Abrams of the Cretaceous. It’s tough as hell, and packs a punch with that tail. They can take out a TRex pretty easy. However they really shine as Metal miners. Anky reduces the weight of carrier Metal to 15% normal weight. So a stake of 300 will only weigh 45 on an Anky. So never transfer Metal off your Anky until you are putting it in the forge. Also, conventional wisdom says pump lots of damage. This is wrong. Don’t go beyond 220% or so. It kills the nodes to quickly and you actually lose Metal ore that way. Take a few more whacks and get about 600 per big node instead of just 300. When leveling friend Anky, focus 220 Damage, over 10k health, and the rest in weight. A low level Anky is always better than no Anky, so if you get a low one, get it to 220 damage, 600 weight and the rest in health (until 10k) and leftover in weight. These dinos are essential to the survival and success of any Survivor or Tribe!
