The anklo is great at collecting metal and stone so if you are trying to make a stone base I recommend getting an anklo

Very great Dino for gathering metal. Me and my friends use this as an argy and get 3K metal in a couple mins it’s insane!

I see one utility that say if you don't have argy or quetzel then tame near your base i suggest first tame high level if high level spawn near you base that's great but if there's a lot of way then

1. Go to base

2. Go to inventory

3. Go to Your stats and check tames

4. And request anky

He will transport to your base

It's that simple no argy no qutzel

It is quite possible to herd the animal into a taming pen if you have at leasr two tribe members.

You can back peddle faster than they can sprint allowing you to shoot them while being chased.

Metal ore only weigh a quarter inside an ankylo, great alone but even better paired with a quetzal farm saddle build.

After the weight reduction for Metal in the anky,it's a great Dino and more useful alone.for beginners Pump wheight and Run to a mountain farm a Bit and Run Back,for the mid to Ende game Players melee only and with a high weight quetz

They cant gather sand so dont do what i did on scorched earth

Ankys can knock you back a far distance so make sure your safe when fighting them yourself or with smaller creatures

If u find a level 3 which should have 700 health u need a slingshot and 70 stone find one and keep shooting with the slingshot in the face and when it runs away come after it and and just keep shooting it until it’s unconscious and there u have a ankylo

I’m on mobile ark and have two of these tamed. They seem to pick up way more flint and metal than stone. Not sure if that’s the same on other gaming devices.

First, pick one up with a flying dino to bring it away from its herd. Then you can just keep shooting at it while walking backwards, they’re really slow so as long as you keep your distance you should be fine.

Keep shooting at its head with tranqs, it shouldn’t take too many arrows/bullets to knock it, but for my level 100 it took about 40 arrows with a compound bow.

Warning, if your ever goning to tame an anky, you might want to find one that is alone. I tried to tame one around like 3 others and got chased into a pack of Raptors. Yeah.... I'm not very good at taming things. But if you do want to do that, just get another friend and have you and them shoot at the ankys one after another so that they get confused. You can also use a moth to make them slow down and just sit up on a rock and shoot them with a couple of tranq arrows.

Leveling up its melee does not increase the amount of metal you obtain unfortunately. However it does make it easier to break the rocks.
