At around level 50 it is a war machine against dinos, just make sure it has atleast 3.5k health and it can kill an alpha raptor, even if you die 10 times in the process. This was not fun but was amazed when it won the battle

The doedicurus does a better job at harvesting obsidian, but I play the mobile so I don’t know about the console or the pc. But I have harvested between twenty and thirty obsidian from one Rock, where as the ankylo only gave me ten to twenty.

pair it with an argentavis to mine metal, crystal and obsidian.

Let the eagle carry stone crystal and ankylosaurus the metal. They are perfect buddies for each other.

This has to be one of the best harvesting Dino’s every due to the fact that it gathers metal, flint and obsidian at high rates and from my experience in gathers the more narco berries per bush then a stego or bronto the only down side is it’s quite slow

This is how to get infinite metal: out an industrial forge on a quetz and fly around the map looking for metal deposits. When you find one, get off the quetz and mine the metal with an Ankylo, then put it in the forge and let it smelt while you look for more metal. Thank me later.

Ummmm I'm playing in mobile and i tried to color my anky with teal colored potent dust but it didnt work, I also had this problem with the mesopithiucus. Pls leave tips as to why I have this issue. And has anyone else had this problem?

This Dino is one of the best land gathers on the game. It got me 1000 metal, over 1k stone and 1k flint in half an hour. This thing can pay for itself. It also gathers a lot of berries and thatch even if you aren’t trying to. That is a little bad when you need to drop the berries, but overall this is a great Dino to tame and use. Trust me you will end up using it a lot.

Dont listen to the guy saying "dont tame this" would you rather get a hundreds of metal in seconds or spend hours using a pick using half the metal repairing. Also doeds are better for stone

If you ever go on a metal run or go caving I would recommend bringing about 3 of these guys. They really come in handy if you need to carry large ammounts of metal. What you may call 200 pounds of metal ore they call 2 grains of rice.

A pack of ankys go well with argus you'll be surprised at the mining factory you've got. Plus leveling argus with weight only and ankys with melee only. Don't do weight for them. It's a waste since you'll deposit metal into argus after.
