Tips & Strategies

What are tips for allosaurus? Tips and strategies for allosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Allos DON'T stay alone until another allo gets close enough, instead they will always spawn together in packs of 3. When an allo finds another allo they will join forces and form a pack, because it is coded in the game that dinos tend to wander near other dinos of the same species. The highest level allo becomes the leader once the pack reaches a size of NOT 3 BUT AT LEAST 2 allos. A pack of allos will usually follow each "others" no matter what, since it is coded in the game that if any dino gets aggroed then goes to a location, any dinos near that one will follow it. IF WILD They usually follow the leader, if tamed they will NOT passively follow the leader but can follow a different allo if say a plaver calls over that specific allo to follow him If they wander too far from each other the bond will be broken and the allos will set off on their own until they find each other again or other allos. Once a pack reaches a certain size the allos will stop accepting other allos in their pack. The same goes for tamed allos. Once they reach the max pack size of 15 and more allos are introduced your original 15 allos and the new allos will form different packs. Hope this helps you understand allosaurus pack behaviors and pack animal behavior in the game in general as a whole. Thanks for reading.
if u are going for an allosaures tame the easiest thing you can do is lead one into a taming pen and then kill the others outside that way they do not have the alpha pack boost affect and you can easily and safely knock it out
Expect double to triple the suggested tranqs
I recomend you ta me a female and a male and make babies because they will form a group and become stronger (Sorry for bad English i Am Brazilian)
Up when you Found This ...
If you found allo pack, trap one of highest level kill other to get prime meat and feed it..
You All Set
Just get 4 stone gates 4 reinforced stone gate
Place them like a rex trap but with gates step one done
Step2 Find a high level get it to follow u close the gate behind it
Step3 the a lunch break
Steps knock it out feed diplo kibble or prime wait for that bad boy to tame up
And boom you got yourself a bronto killer
Last step Find a mate and make a allo army
Look out, there is a glitch in the game where they go through walls (at least metal) we got wiped, by allosuars.
If you really think about it, these are SOOO underrated. Incredibly high damage and speed. A pack of 10 is easily better than a Giga. 3-4 ballista bolts, (lvl 29 btw) can make a Giga rage, and ballista bolts have a VERY long range, so... you’re dead if you’re riding it. Against a level 30 player. You see 10 Allos coming for you? Run for your ballista? 3-4 Allos dead, still 7 Allos killing you. Even rockets against 10 or so Allos? Crap. You’re still dead. They are so fast and can 20 shot ANY creature in the game if it’s an alpha. Yes, Titantos? Dead in 20 shots. (5% of the creatures health over time.) (Doesn’t work on bosses.) Compared to a Rex, an alpha Allo is arguably equal. Base stats of the Rex are 1100 health and 62 damage. Alpha Allo is 787.5 health and 52.5 damage. They have much faster DPS than Rexes and have better stamina, allowing for more overall damage. Not as much health, but still. To a wild Giga (level 1) with the alpha attack they deal 4000 damage. 4000!!!!!!!!!!
Shooting them with a net from a harpoon gun works. Up so more see this
The speed to outrun allos on pc and console is 130 movement speed and on mobile 122 movement speed
Hello! Today we'll be fully explaining the Allosaurus.

- What is this dinosaur? -
The Allosaurus is a tier 2 dinosaur. It lives in mountainous areas and lives in packs of 2-4 Allosaurus. The highest-level Allosaurus in the pack will emit red-yellow smoke, which is an easy way to identify the alpha. When the alpha bites you, you begin to revert for 5-10 seconds, weakening your vitality (or you) and reducing your health. It's about as strong as a Carnotaurus alone (maybe stronger), and as strong as a Rex (or more) in a pack.
There are three variants of Allosaurus:
Normal Allosaurus (found on the maps: Island, Centrer, Ragnarok, Extinction, Valguero, Crystal Islands, Genesis Part 2, lost island)
X-Allosaurus (found on the map Genesis Part 1)
R-Allosaurus (found on the map Genesis Part 2)
- How to tame? -
Allosaurus is fairly easy to tame. Taming is as simple as stunning, feeding, and that's it.
You can stun an Allosaurus in any way you like—with or without a trap. (I recommend a trap, as the Allosaurus is fast, and there's a chance you'll catch it when it starts to get rowdy.) Use your best darts to tranquilize it for maximum effectiveness. (Tranquilizer arrows are also possible, but not as quickly.)
When the Allosaurus is covered, feed it premium food. If you have any, feed it with feed. You won't need much Narkoshi, but take at least 50 with you. Once it's up, that's it, the Allosaurus is yours. Learn how to make a saddle on this page.
- Useful Items -
The Allosaurus is recommended for hunting. It's very good at collecting meat and skins, which can be helpful for child players. It's best to tame them in a pack so you can kill stronger creatures with the "Pack Leader" buff. The Allosaurus isn't very popular with players; it's more suitable for dino collections.
- Loot -
Allosaurus drops +- useful resources:
Raw Meat
Raw Prime Meat
Leather
Keratin
A trophy called "Allosaurus Brain" may also drop.
- Controls -
Allosaurus controls on PC (default settings):
Normal attack - LMB
Pack Leader attack - RMB
Allosaurus Roar (only available for the Pack Leader) - C

Can be found on mountains and redwoods.
Run, Run as fast as you can. They're Usain Bolt and you're a turtle.
Spotting that Allo that you’ve thrown yourself at so many times and just…fail to tame it? Don’t worry. We’ve all been there. Here’s a few tips to increase your luck.
Tranq Arrows
Super cheat recipe and easy to make a whole stack of. Using crossbow gets you less hits for more torpo per hit, but bow is also a cheap effective strategy.
Trapping Mechanism
Trapping tools and techniques are iffy. I never really use them because my traps are the wild creatures the Allos like to pick on, such as Brontos or Triceratops. These creatures make the Allos distracted and (hopefully) don’t kill them. I mainly refer to the Island map bc that is the map I am most successful for taming them in for some very odd reason.
(You could also do the trapping technique where you trap them in doorways, but Allos are so fast and so annoying when you try and trap them in there. Def an option but wouldn’t recommend.)
Equus Methods
Equus are totally effective for catching the lower leveled ones, though any level Allo the Equus can handle as long as it can take a few deadly hits. A few bucks the to face will do the trick.
Fav methods.
When it comes to Allos I get very angry because I love them and I can never tame them so easily. My favorite methods are attracting the group (or singular) Allo to a wild creature that will distract them for a bit, then while on the back of some creature (Equus or baryonx will do) just spam shoot them and they should start running away, indicating that their almost unconscious. One more hit should do the job, just keep in mind the relentless Trike that is still chasing after them. Also keep in mind the Allo’s health, make a time window so the Allo doesn’t die.
That’s all I have! Hopefully this helped all you Allo lovers- this is my first advice thingy here and I appreciate you reading this! Thank you and good luck!!!
