These guys are everywhere in Valguero. My friend and I were gathering resources when I saw them I ran and remembered Ark's loading screen had a tip that said "You don't have to run faster then the dinos you just have to run faster then your friend" so I used my bola in my hotbar and got my friend. Moral of the story get bolas lots of them

Spotting that Allo that you’ve thrown yourself at so many times and just…fail to tame it? Don’t worry. We’ve all been there. Here’s a few tips to increase your luck.

Tranq Arrows

Super cheat recipe and easy to make a whole stack of. Using crossbow gets you less hits for more torpo per hit, but bow is also a cheap effective strategy.

Trapping Mechanism

Trapping tools and techniques are iffy. I never really use them because my traps are the wild creatures the Allos like to pick on, such as Brontos or Triceratops. These creatures make the Allos distracted and (hopefully) don’t kill them. I mainly refer to the Island map bc that is the map I am most successful for taming them in for some very odd reason.

(You could also do the trapping technique where you trap them in doorways, but Allos are so fast and so annoying when you try and trap them in there. Def an option but wouldn’t recommend.)

Equus Methods

Equus are totally effective for catching the lower leveled ones, though any level Allo the Equus can handle as long as it can take a few deadly hits. A few bucks the to face will do the trick.

Fav methods.

When it comes to Allos I get very angry because I love them and I can never tame them so easily. My favorite methods are attracting the group (or singular) Allo to a wild creature that will distract them for a bit, then while on the back of some creature (Equus or baryonx will do) just spam shoot them and they should start running away, indicating that their almost unconscious. One more hit should do the job, just keep in mind the relentless Trike that is still chasing after them. Also keep in mind the Allo’s health, make a time window so the Allo doesn’t die.

The speed to outrun allos on pc and console is 130 movement speed and on mobile 122 movement speed

Pro tip:NEVER start on north zone 1 on mobile! I saw one of these dudes on the beach along with 2 argys and a scorpion and a spino in the water. So only start there if you think, that you can take some challenge.

I have many Dino’s, about 25. A giant pack of allos are coming closer to my THATCH house. What should I do? Two split up and became “Pack Allo Comad”. I am calling the giant pack “Pack Allo Diam”. “Diam” and “Comad” for short. Anyways, “Comad” is a decent distance away. “Diam”, on the other hand, is being lured by prey. I don’t know if my house will survive. At least it has spikes. Should I take a big, potentially heartbreaking risk, or should I build many waves of spikes? Up for spikes, down for risk.

I severally underestimated this guy's. I just started playing ark like 2 days ago. I flew my dino halfway across the island and seen the causing choas. I flew down to tame then. I started shooting them with tranqs on a tall rock that I didn't think they could get up. I was wrong. The 2 allos came right up the rock a ND trashed my armor. Tried to run, found out they're faster then me. Fortunately my ptero gave it's life to save me. Then had a really long walk back. Moral of the story, make sure you attack where they can't get you lol.

Ok lemme tell u about these demons. One day I tamed a lvl 435 carno and I thought It was stronger than allosauruses BUT nooou a lvl 625 carno with 14K health and 500 damage is not stronger than 3 allos lvls of 234,228 and 325. Big R.I.P to HammerHead🥺😭🥺 You will never be forgotten🥺🥺😭😭😭😭

I’m guessing if ur reading this you are like me, and got here from the belly of an allo.

Here is how dangerous they are by their pack size

1 - Easy to tame or kill, just watch their speed

2 - Can prove difficult to tame or kill but sometimes they spawn inside each other, immobilising the whole pack

3 - Difficult to tame or kill because of the pack buffs

4 - A daunting task to try and tame or kill

5 - Can really only be tamed with ascendant crossbow/rifle or by separation

6 - Just leave them alone

7 - Get out of there quickly

8 - RUN

9 - Say goodbye

10 - Able to kill Alpha Rex and Giga

11 - Titanosaur has never seen such scary

12 - Ark itself will literally uninstall itself out of fear

13 - The police will remove Ark from you

14 - Mass genocide

When you encounter these things, just remember they run faster than most land Animals, so follow these tips correctly.

Build a 2x2 pen with stairs

Find a allo vera

Shoot it

Lure it into trap, and run as soon as it drops in.

Tame it.

On the island, I accidentally brought OVER 10 ALLOSAURS TOGETHER and........... all hell broke loose.
