Tips & Strategies

What are tips for allosaurus? Tips and strategies for allosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I want to play with this father
I severally underestimated this guy's. I just started playing ark like 2 days ago. I flew my dino halfway across the island and seen the causing choas. I flew down to tame then. I started shooting them with tranqs on a tall rock that I didn't think they could get up. I was wrong. The 2 allos came right up the rock a ND trashed my armor. Tried to run, found out they're faster then me. Fortunately my ptero gave it's life to save me. Then had a really long walk back. Moral of the story, make sure you attack where they can't get you lol.
On the island, I accidentally brought OVER 10 ALLOSAURS TOGETHER and........... all hell broke loose.
The only way to live is to turn dino damage to 0
Remember that the alpha will always be the highest level dino, so if the alpha is low level none of them are worth taming.
If you have a tuso and you have a problem with a pack of these near your home then lure the allos to the river/sea/lake you keep the tuso in and use the tuso to grab the weaker allosaurs of the suffice and drag them under to drown and harvest the meat then when only the pack alpha is left grab it too and hold it over the beach so when it knocks out it falls unconscious on the beach and then you can tame it with the meat of the others! 😁
To the person who says taming in ark is crazy: ark has the dinos forget that you were the one who knocked the Dino out. Then you feed it and it wakes up and loves you for helping it.
Try to make them fall into a ravine. Flyers help with this tactic. Or better, look for some that spawned or fell into one. There’s a ravine on my SP game where there are around 11 allos that fell into it. After getting them into a ravine, kill off all but the one you’d like to tame. Proceed in taming as usual.
Everyone hyping up the pack boost for no reason when allos don't even follow the pack leader allo passively when tamed unless whistled follow to the leader allo, which will make them only follow and refuse to attack, or if you set the pack leader allo to aggressive and the other allos to neutral (good luck having your other neutral tames also follow the pack leader allo)
Allos DON'T stay alone until another allo gets close enough, instead they will always spawn together in packs of 3. When an allo finds another allo they will join forces and form a pack, because it is coded in the game that dinos tend to wander near other dinos of the same species. The highest level allo becomes the leader once the pack reaches a size of NOT 3 BUT AT LEAST 2 allos. A pack of allos will usually follow each "others" no matter what, since it is coded in the game that if any dino gets aggroed then goes to a location, any dinos near that one will follow it. IF WILD They usually follow the leader, if tamed they will NOT passively follow the leader but can follow a different allo if say a plaver calls over that specific allo to follow him If they wander too far from each other the bond will be broken and the allos will set off on their own until they find each other again or other allos. Once a pack reaches a certain size the allos will stop accepting other allos in their pack. The same goes for tamed allos. Once they reach the max pack size of 15 and more allos are introduced your original 15 allos and the new allos will form different packs. Hope this helps you understand allosaurus pack behaviors and pack animal behavior in the game in general as a whole. Thanks for reading.
Okay if ya want one you must prepare bc they are a pack of 3 you can tame the three or kill 2 and tame the alpha of the pack (the alpha have the highest lvl) Like if help -Diego
Kill all its friends than tranq it out on a ledge, your going to want to tame the one with the yellow/red glow
The Allosaurus is a versatile predator capable of massive ambushes when you never expect it. The thing to do is spot them before they spot you. As soon as you spot an Allosaurus, RUN. Unless you are experienced and in a tribe capable of felling THREE of these mini-Rexes, then get outta there! If you're going to Allosaurus territory and it's hard to see, bring a few things to help you.
- Torches (will help you spot at night)
- Traps (will help you escape at least one of these bad boys)
- Whatever can Kill it (self-explanatory)
I hope you learnt a thing or two. - Jake
When you see an allo and want to tame it go up to a high place or trap it. But beware they are fast
Make your movement speed 150.. then you can out run them.
