Tips & Strategies

What are tips for allosaurus? Tips and strategies for allosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
So, a lot of tips say to separate and kill off the others in the pack to get the one you want...Capture all 3, rolling in a pack with mate boost and the Alpha attack, these things are pure killers, I used a taming raft, used and Argy to lure them up the ramp. Took a bit to get all 3 in, but then just sailed back to base, knocked them out and tamed the entire pack, One on its own is okay, Mated boosted pack with Alpha to ride, you will not regret the extra resources used
Here's a tip trap it before it can kill its self or joins a pack
U can lead a allosaurus to a taming boat and go to ur base and then tame it without having to kill the others.
I found two that spawned and we're stuck on each other easiest tames of my life. It was on rag close to viking shores on the other side of the cliffs.
Useful tip: always make a taming trap for your allo or else you want to take a risk of it to die... also they spawn at the mountain beside giga mountain.
Allosaurus are very strong and faster than you can would think. Try getting up on a high ledge with your bird and begin shooting. If it is a pack go for the Alpha first, because the alpha can do the most damage and is usually the higher level
If there is one behind you just give up and give yourself to them
Don’t use a trap structure with any door frames to trap them, they will phase though it if you leave it alone.
Very difficult and tedious to kite, as they target onto literally everything
Warning: They can run FASTER than Carnos (at least on my game). Almost died several times trying to tame a lvl 71 on Ragnarok. Definitely make sure you have an unreachable vantage point or a swift steed.
They’re torpor drop rate is at a rather moderate speed
Sounds like carno footsteps, but faster, and then kill you by surrounding you. The alpha allosaur is the highest level allo, so kill him first
Allos can be so terrifying at first but if there is a herd of about 5-10 morellatops by your base it’s all good. One day I was coming back from an adventure with moomoo my morellatops and saw an allo. I instantly thought it was the end of me but it saw a puny little level 5 morellatops. Little did it know, there were about 10 other morellatops in the area and let’s just say they took care of the job for me and I got some free prime meat.
If you pick them up with wyverns (i was grabbing them from the wild and bringing them back to tame them for mutation) they can still bite, and their bleed affects the speed of the wyvern also. Havent experimented with quetz though.
