Tips & Strategies

What are tips for allosaurus? Tips and strategies for allosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you see a tip that talks about the pack boost giving "a 50% damage increase and a 25% damage reduction, so if you have an imprinted pack leader, it gains a total of 55% damage reduction which is an extreme damage reduction", then that guy is exaggerating as the pack boost actually gives the alpha a 25% damage increase and a 12.5% damage reduction so if you have a 100% imprinted pack leader it will actually give it a 38.75% damage reduction which is not an extreme damage reduction as it is multiplicitive not additive.
Math: 70% damage taken (100% imprint buff) × 87.5% damage taken (pack mate buff) = 61.25% damage taken = 38.75 % damage reduction
Also for the pack mate boost to be effective you have to have friends that can ride the other 1 or more allos, or whistle follow your allos to the pack leader since they don't passively do it by themselves, which makes them unable to attack other creatures that are attacking them.
THEY CAN NOT BE PICKED UP BY QUETZALS IN MOBILE. I REPEAT, CONNOT BE PICKED UP BY QUETZALS IN MOBILE!
Pro tip:NEVER start on north zone 1 on mobile! I saw one of these dudes on the beach along with 2 argys and a scorpion and a spino in the water. So only start there if you think, that you can take some challenge.
The best way to tame an allo is to find the level that you would like and kill off the rest of it's group but if u want all three just get to some high ground and then just start shooting them with tranqs
Pretty awesome tames... It's the perfect tame between a raptor and a Rex. When I started off in a new server I could get a level 80 allo before my stone base was even enclosed properly! I slapped a saddle on that bad boy and got another level 85 allo. I now also have 3 low level carno's for the heck of it and I can defend my base without any X plants! They are perfect to kill Rex's brontos or anything not stronger than a Giga! It's pretty easy to tame once knocked out. I just fed it biotoxin every ten minutes on mobile. They're very, very, very fast. I have 145 speed and they are fast enough to not just catch up but even attack me. When trying to tame get them running through the forest. That will thin the crowd and takes away the Pack Leader buff from the high level allo. Lure it in a trap and a free Rex raptor mix is yours! Btw. Just two allo's gives you a pack leader buff on the highest level allo you have, so you know which one is gonna be my ride...
Spotting that Allo that you’ve thrown yourself at so many times and just…fail to tame it? Don’t worry. We’ve all been there. Here’s a few tips to increase your luck.
Tranq Arrows
Super cheat recipe and easy to make a whole stack of. Using crossbow gets you less hits for more torpo per hit, but bow is also a cheap effective strategy.
Trapping Mechanism
Trapping tools and techniques are iffy. I never really use them because my traps are the wild creatures the Allos like to pick on, such as Brontos or Triceratops. These creatures make the Allos distracted and (hopefully) don’t kill them. I mainly refer to the Island map bc that is the map I am most successful for taming them in for some very odd reason.
(You could also do the trapping technique where you trap them in doorways, but Allos are so fast and so annoying when you try and trap them in there. Def an option but wouldn’t recommend.)
Equus Methods
Equus are totally effective for catching the lower leveled ones, though any level Allo the Equus can handle as long as it can take a few deadly hits. A few bucks the to face will do the trick.
Fav methods.
When it comes to Allos I get very angry because I love them and I can never tame them so easily. My favorite methods are attracting the group (or singular) Allo to a wild creature that will distract them for a bit, then while on the back of some creature (Equus or baryonx will do) just spam shoot them and they should start running away, indicating that their almost unconscious. One more hit should do the job, just keep in mind the relentless Trike that is still chasing after them. Also keep in mind the Allo’s health, make a time window so the Allo doesn’t die.
That’s all I have! Hopefully this helped all you Allo lovers- this is my first advice thingy here and I appreciate you reading this! Thank you and good luck!!!
I have many Dino’s, about 25. A giant pack of allos are coming closer to my THATCH house. What should I do? Two split up and became “Pack Allo Comad”. I am calling the giant pack “Pack Allo Diam”. “Diam” and “Comad” for short. Anyways, “Comad” is a decent distance away. “Diam”, on the other hand, is being lured by prey. I don’t know if my house will survive. At least it has spikes. Should I take a big, potentially heartbreaking risk, or should I build many waves of spikes? Up for spikes, down for risk.
When single taming be at least level 52. Tame a Tapijara. Find a group of allosaurus. Next break one off from the pack by attacking one and leading it away. The others might follow that’s okay. Lead them to a cliff and fly over the cliff. Switch seats and begin to tranq the one you want. When you knock it out lead the others away. Go back to the unconscious Dino and begin to place meat in. Have at least ten Narco per level. The other allosaurus will almost always come back. I suggest taming two at a time. Knock out a second one. Then kill the rest as they might attack your brand new allos....... keep in mind that prime meat speeds it up by 70 percent than raw meat so go and kill some Dino’s. Good luck and happy taming! Also they might kill your new tapijara so make sure you have at least 50 percent health when going close. They killed mine.... but I had three more. Always have a backup flyers.
People’s tips keep saying that when they insta eat the meat. That is because their food level is low children 🤦🏻♂️
They are basically t-rexs that travel in packs
These things are like chips you can’t just have one
A simple way to knock it out is to build a 3×3 room with a gate lure them in with a pachyrhinosarus inside then calm them with the pink stuff and just tranq them make sure to keep them passive to have an easy knock out ;)
GOOD LUCK :)
Everyone hyping up the pack boost for no reason when allos don't even follow the pack leader allo passively when tamed unless whistled follow to the leader allo, which will make them only follow and refuse to attack, or if you set the pack leader allo to aggressive and the other allos to neutral (good luck having your other neutral tames also follow the pack leader allo)
Allos DON'T stay alone until another allo gets close enough, instead they will always spawn together in packs of 3. When an allo finds another allo they will join forces and form a pack, because it is coded in the game that dinos tend to wander near other dinos of the same species. The highest level allo becomes the leader once the pack reaches a size of NOT 3 BUT AT LEAST 2 allos. A pack of allos will usually follow each "others" no matter what, since it is coded in the game that if any dino gets aggroed then goes to a location, any dinos near that one will follow it. IF WILD They usually follow the leader, if tamed they will NOT passively follow the leader but can follow a different allo if say a plaver calls over that specific allo to follow him If they wander too far from each other the bond will be broken and the allos will set off on their own until they find each other again or other allos. Once a pack reaches a certain size the allos will stop accepting other allos in their pack. The same goes for tamed allos. Once they reach the max pack size of 15 and more allos are introduced your original 15 allos and the new allos will form different packs. Hope this helps you understand allosaurus pack behaviors and pack animal behavior in the game in general as a whole. Thanks for reading.
I want to play with this father
Ok lemme tell u about these demons. One day I tamed a lvl 435 carno and I thought It was stronger than allosauruses BUT nooou a lvl 625 carno with 14K health and 500 damage is not stronger than 3 allos lvls of 234,228 and 325. Big R.I.P to HammerHead🥺😭🥺 You will never be forgotten🥺🥺😭😭😭😭
