Tips & Strategies

What are tips for allosaurus? Tips and strategies for allosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Make a 2x2 with Stone Dino gates and Stone door frames on all sides and a ramp on one, easy taming pen can even fit Rex, Mammoth and Spino as well , best spot is between the mountain and snow biome
Easy kill for a Argent w high dmg
Regular tranq darts will knock this thing out
Around lon 12 lat 38 is where you can find a trio of allos one being alpha if possible, but beware because in that area where jungle and ice meet....a great brawl between great carnivores and herbivores where there is no peace just constant battles....which actually is quite entertaining actually i have seen several creatures spawn there like pulminscopius, argis, rexs, Carnos, raptor, sabers, dodicurius, stegos, wooly mammoths *rare*, allos, and also rare alpha raptor. Disclaimer: (This tip applies to the Ark: Survival Evolved map to avoid confusion.)
Yeah the best tip I got is you can pick them up with wyverns
So when I was taming mine I thought I would die a ton because people said they were super fast. But my speed is 200 percent but people made such a big deal out of it I really thought I was gonna die a ton so I brought all of my max raptors just in case and I didn’t die once. I outran that thing by 1.3 miles to be exact. It was a lv 109 and I really thought I would die lol. Of course if I turned around I would be murdered so I just ran it in circles until I was able to get in the taming pen. Then I taunted it a ton cuz I was pîssed off because of it and then I punched it to ko for punishment. Emotional and physical abuse isn’t much for an allo btw. Just remember when you read the books...” ...A fully grown pack of allosaurus, if healthy and strong, were able to down suaropods and scare off even the biggest carnivores from their territory...”. They can take a lot...
if you habve a Tapejara and are in the redwoods, hang onto a tree and shoot them from there
I found out that Allosauruses gain an attack bonus against large creatures. I found this out because I was using my level 220 Allo to hunt and I targeted a Diplodocus and the damage was meant to be about 125 but instead my Allo was doing about 550 damage. I then made a theory that anything larger than an Allosaurus will take additional damage so I then tested this theory on a Paracertherium and my Allo did additional damage. I can confirm that Paracers and Diplos take additional damage and I think it applies to Brontos aswell because I saw a low level pack of Allos take down a high level Bronto so it would be reasonable to assume that it works. I have never seen ability said anywhere so I thought I should mention it. Theres also a pack ability where if there is at least 3 Allos then they will gain a pack bonus which will give the leader (the highest level of the 3) an additional attack which inflicts a bleed effect. Hope you found this helpful.
In all honesty just shoot a bunch of toxic arrows at one or more and it will fall asleep. Then just build around the allosaurus so nothing tries to kill it or you. Use a crossbow by the way it’s much easier and faster.
I suggest to first tame a lvl 140 equus with the ascendant saddle and make a 3x3 trap and lure them into the trap with the horse and just start kicking to knock them out
My tip is to take them down when u are in a high ground so it's pack can kill u
Haven't tried my trap yet tribe member of mine found out his wyvern can carry it so he just dropped one for us. I used the shock trank on it. Only took maby 15 to 20 darts for a lvl 85 and after a little starve time gave him 8 kibble and he jumped up in seconds. Still had one kibble left. He's now waiting for a high lvl female to get to egg laying with tomorrow. I'm still going to try and hit a whole pack solo with an arg. No worries but hope this helped guys.
First if you want to escape these guys find the nastiest Klife and drop your stuff and run!!!!! RUN OF THE KLIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ddex tranqs count is incorrect. Expect double tranqs darts/arrows these guys eat tranqs for no reason. lost a 150 yet i had 20 more tranqs than needed for official with a 150% bow, and she laughed as i failed.
Honestly it's real easy to get them to walk into a trap. Especially a ramp into a closed box. You can control which one you want and how to do it.
Most of the time the aphla is the only high level and about 80% of the team it is a female. Oh and be careful around they are extremely strong.
Dododex says you need way more food and narcos than you need.
With missing half my shots I needed over 250 shots to know a 150 with pack bonus
