The hills were left quiet,

And im in hiding.

Little Rabbit Boy

Chapter 2

Written by PD

The hills were tranquil as possible, small snickers from wild waters spat and writhed around the hills, splitting them into two. A small group of little beasts stood at the bank, taking their fill, before skittering off.

“ALEX!”

The same voice shouted again, as the boy flinched, his hands instinctually covering his face using his straw hood he had woven himself. Their solution was a lie, he repeated, Nobody deserves to die.

He hid in the long grass, obscured by its tall height, almost towering over him protectively. Shrinking back into the shadows, he waited. For the silhouettes of black to dissipate.

His eyesight was covered a bit, by the long grass. It’s straw like, dried texture rustled gently in the slow breeze, walking around to find Alex. It ruffled his hood, as he grumbled, the water nearby giggling and gurgling downstream.
