War, Love, and Carbonemys

CH. 1 PT. 1

Vir's POV

I wake up to a bright light and wince at the brightness. I sit up and look at my forearm to see some sort of implant. I scratch it and look around. The first thing I see is a chubby bird. I get up and look out at the ocean and take in all the sights.

I could hear birds squawking, waves crashing, and distant sounds of beasts I had no idea existed. I walk up to a tree and collect some resources for a stone axe and pickaxe. I look at the chubby bird and kneel down in front of it. It stares back at me with eyes devoid of emotion. I pet it and collect some stone.

I had eventually got a house set up and had a little fire going, cooking some meat I got from a dilo. A couple little chubby birds walk over to me and take some berries. I hand them some more and they flap their cute little wings.

I look at the stars and sigh. I put out my fire and eat dinner while getting ready to go to bed.

I lay on my bed and think about a possible good pet, maybe those chubby birds would be good. I close my eyes and slowly fall asleep.
