For starters,ankyylosaurus is best for getting metal,magmasours are better at gathering metal but it is hard to acquire their egg.

If you need a lot of metal just turn up the harvesting amount and go to those cluster of rock of the rocks by or in the water. It really works don’t tell anyone on you server so that you can kick there@$$ with all your fancy metal tools.

Just go for shiny rocks and always Cary a weapon and go in low populated places

A great way to get lots if metal: Step 1: Get an argy. Step 2: Mine metal on a mountain and put it in your argy's inventory. (Not yours!) Step 3: get lots of metal, argy's have a 50% reduction. Step 4: Go back, and refine your metal into ingots.

Use Anklo level up melee and weight to collect max metal

Magmasaur or a apprentice+ mining drill in an abb surface entrance or abb blue zone is amazing metal harvesting tactic

Magmasaur is faster than anky on the ground, and gathers more, you don’t need a flier

You can find them on top of house with a lot of rocks

Find river rocks with a ankylo and hello metal

Thanks guys I’ve gone to herbivore island at the bottom right of the map and on my first run there I’ve gotten around 1,000 metal!! Planning to go back there ever once in a while!

Ankys are really good for collecting metal you don’t even need to go to the mountains and risk becoming a Rex snack just go to the river and break river rocks you get 4 metal per hit on a rock and it takes an anky about 4 hits to break a river rock so that’s about 16 metal per river rock and they are very common
