Why does it way 15 more pounds than all the materials to make it?

A good way I found to get chitin is farming the scorpions with a axe you get like 120 -140 each

Works as a smithy but you can’t repair things in it

I tamed one before I got a saddle and I waited so long to ride it

Kill trillobits and you will get a lot of chitin

Kill bugs to get the most chitin

Do missions if you’re not the exact level or you can get loot drops you have a 1% of getting it or it just random. Hope it helps

just get a direwolf and go cave exploring or getting the artifact for a soothing balm before you tame an argy

got a crap ton of chitin from a single cave run with luna the direwolf

Tame a saber and cave or look for bugs they get around 40 chitin per kill

don’t bring your bird in to a sticky situation

If you’re on mobile, sabers are good for harvesting chitin. Go into the south cave (the easiest one) and you’ll come out with thousands of chitin.

Cave in the south on the island (first caving quest) in the little valley has many easy bugs to kill. Bring stimberries and water bottles. Axes best way to get chitin from corpses. Cave in the south also easy way to get small amount of crystal for newbies as some crystals appear before you actually need to fight. I got 50+ crystals which is enough for earlygame crafts. You can run cave naked with a lil stimberries or none if you are willing to die some times. If you speedrun it i suggest placing bed by enterence if you die. Watch out, river by the entrance has spinos sometimes.

There should be a TEK variant that allows fabricator/TEK level items to be built

a good way to get metal is to breed a pack of argentavis and make them follow you when you go to farm metal because they have a metal weight reduction so you can carry more and don't forget to get a ankylosaurus for more metal

If you want to get the saddle fast go for the chitin and kill the scorpions they give 30 to 50 ot 60 chitin idk just go for the chitin
