This stuff is really overpowered. It increases taming or imprinting percent by thirty percent if you eat this in the Dino you are taming/imprinting. The blood packs you need to craft it is easy to get if you have a high level Desmodus.

If using to boost a tame, make sure to initiate the tame first by adding food to the inventory, otherwise nothing will happen.

Can not be used underwater on dinos.

Enable bat lifesteal, pick wild daedon up and just float, every 25 points of leach damage = 1 blood pack

Most babies that are in a maewing pouch can be used there but in case of wyvern, magmasaur etc you need to remove it from to pouch to use the sanguine elixir. It may be a bug for now.

You can use this on underwater creatures. From eels to tusos every single one of them if you can do what I’m fixing to explain… all you have to do is bring them to the surface on a coast. I take them to a secluded area and build a foundation right on the coast that is barely above water. I’ll use ceilings to go out a little if I have to, but normally I can get them close enough and within reach. Some times I have to lay down to reach them and if you’re touching the water it will be glitchy and not apply the elixir. I just move the cursor around the tame while pressing “0” a bunch and most likely it applies it - if not I just keep re-positioning around or moving the tame closer until it does. There hasn’t been a time or tame I haven’t been able to apply the elixir to.

This is a new items to me, if it’s as good as everyone says it is. Definitely take the time to make one, even if it means dying a few times (make a bunk bed for sure)

A good way to get Sanguine Elixir is to upgrade your desmodus melee Damage because every 50 damage your desmodus does equals 1 blood pack.

Is an absolute game changer, makes taming things like a giga so much easier and less stressful. And it just gives 30 percent imprint! This thing is a requirement to tame stuff, not only does it increase tame speed but that also helps the effectiveness by making it not have to eat as much. Not only that but you can just FARM this stuff! What I’ve been doing is I’ve been getting a LOAD of blood with the desmodus and putting it in the fridge, it will preserve for a very long time. When I’m taming something I simply take the blood out. Yeet it in the desmodus saddle and get crafting. Simply amazing.

As of ASA, it appears to be sensitive to distance, so don't pop it into your potential tame and then wander off! Distance erases the 30% buff and you can't reapply it.

For those wondering, the sanguine elixir gives 30% taking effectiveness increase (meaning less time and food needing to tame a creature), but they are still nothing compared to mobiles balms, here’s a quick diagram…

Elixir- 30% (x0.33)

Minor balm- 300% (x3)

Normal balm- 1000% (x10)

Major balm- 1500% (x15)

Other than that they’re pretty much the same besides look. I think they need to have a way to get balms on other platforms besides mobile

To use it on underwater tames, you will have to maneuver them close enough to the shore that you can reach them standing up. Ideally done when they're still babies.
