Look look look, it’s actually whale poop, since this is made out of the squid or octopus beaks that weren’t digested correctly by the stomach and then harden in the intestine,(sorry for bad english) then humen open the whale and find the wrongly digested beak and sell it which makes a fortune. This was used to make perfumes and other stuff but im thinking it’s still whale poop. Scientists are searching for this answer so vote. Poop? Or vomit? Up for poop down for throw up.

Ok to stop all fakes real life ambergris is whale vomit. HOWEVER the fact that it’s harvested from rocks proves that it is. Here’s my explanation: Green-brown rocks are giant ambergris that space whales threw up. Seem reasonable? Green if you think so!
To cover all bases in the argument, REAL LIFE ambergris is technically poop, caused by a collection of squid beaks and other hard parts of the food eaten by Sperm Whales, which eventually grows large enough to block the whale’s intestines and kill it. As the carcass decomposes, the ambergris floats to the surface, where it bakes in the sun and is worn by the waves into Ambergris
HOWEVER, due to the circumstances required for it to form, having a rare blockage of a specific thing in only one species of whale, it’s unlikely that THIS ambergris is the same as the real life stuff, as the astrocetus doesn’t live in water, doesn’t, as far as one can tell, eat food that leave behind hard parts to block intestines, and that every one that is killed yields ambergris, it’s probably a different substance all together, maybe blubber or skin oils

I see alot of people seem to believe ambergris is whale poo, just to clear up any confusion irl it's actually whale vomit.
Ambergris, found in clusters of green glowing rocks, only ones that actually give you ambergris are the long pointy ones. best harvested with anky followed by mining drill. can be refrigerated for 24 hours and can be put in tek troughs. carry preserving salts to extend lifetime while you gather and bring it back to your hungry magma
It’s the only food magmasaur will eat , as a baby . After they mature they can eat raw meat as well
How to get it: kill an astrocetus
A must have for raising baby magmasaurs. It’s the only food they’ll eat.
Also it’s found in the Lunar biome, best harvested by green glowing rocks with a mining drill.
Baby magmasaurs can have both ambergris and SULFUR.
