If you are in the ocean You will find mushroom like coral if you hit it with an axe you get fungal wood. Up so people don’t have to go through the torture of aberration.

Vannaland the biggest island has fungal wood just on the bottom right of it. If you go to the edge of the water and dive in the huge plants when hit with an axe will give fungal wood.

If you need Fungal Wood and have the Lost Colony map, the meat like plants are made of fungal wood and are a good source of food instead of doing meat runs.

Can be harvested with a pickaxe or Chainsaw on Extinction. Look for purple/pink trees close to the sunken forest hole in the ground(entrance).

On crystal isles you will find mushroom trees on the top right of the map.

You can find them in giant mushrooms
