If you are in the ocean You will find mushroom like coral if you hit it with an axe you get fungal wood. Up so people don’t have to go through the torture of aberration.

Vannaland the biggest island has fungal wood just on the bottom right of it. If you go to the edge of the water and dive in the huge plants when hit with an axe will give fungal wood.

On crystal isles you will find mushroom trees on the top right of the map.

Btw it says giga bc u can harvest from forest Titan

You can find them in giant mushrooms

If you don’t want to get trapped in Abberation, go to valguero and go to the Abberation zone

If you ate it it would be as soft and have the texture of a mushroom, and then you would be surprised because it tastes like wood.

Latitude 65, Longitude 75 Use hatchet on big mushrooms.

On Lost Island if you go into the water off the beaches only a few yards out. Right along where the ocean drops off to the deep there are flat coral reefs that you can harvest for fungal wood. These reefs aren't to be mistaken for the spiral ones, those give you rock. They have to be the flat ones. My oxygen lvl is only 400 and It doesn't drop much and the water isn't that deep. It shouldn't be too hard for new players to collect and it doesn't require a diving suit. I can't say these reefs are located all around the island as I haven't looked but for sure the west side especially not far from the game made rock tower that sits up on the mountain. I can't imagine they wouldn't be all around it though.

Personally, my favorite place to get this stuff is on Genesis. In the plains area of the bog, the trees with the weird orange tops give lots of fungal wood. It’s safer than Ab or Val or even CI because you can easily see any dangers coming at you. The worst things I’ve seen there are Kapros and barys.

If u need mass of it just take your dino to Asgard on Fjordur and point at this little bush looks like /Bulb from Subnautica\ have fun with gathering fungal wood i found it when i needed 29k on bp saddle.

Hey, don't risk going swimming or the mess that is aberration! Just take a beaver or thorny dragon to fjordur, teleport to asgard south, go to the edge of the purple forest, and harvest the little blue balls! Bring a sturdy dps though (reccomend smthn you can't get knocked off of), as shadow manes live there.

If you stick to the edge and keep an eye open, and harvest in the day, you should be good though. (Shadow manes sleep during the day.)

If you have a giga on gen bite the fungal trees in bog it gives the fungal wood as well

There should be a mushroom forest in Crystal isles that drop fungal wool
