This thing deals 50 damage (to the guy who is arguably bad at his job it doesnt deal 40 damage) but you cant throw it, weighs 10 kg and has more range but attacks slower than a sword. For example you can kill ankys and carbonemys effortlessly with a pike just by walking backwards and spamming attack but if you try to use a sword you have to get close enough that they can attack you. It is also 5x cheaper in metal to craft than the sword so you don't need a fortune of metal to craft for high quality pikes. If you are on old ark mobile you can also tribute artifact of the massive to get good pike bps.

No it dosen't.

I recommend pike more than sword. First of all its cheaper. Unlock it first. And has more range, attack speed, cost less durability to attack. The only thing sword is better at is damage.

Pike is actually really good! Its underated, its really good for early game hunting too!
