I'm not exactly smart, but I got a barryonyx just for cave runs, and lava cave or north east cave give tons of chitin, my slightly boosted server yeildes about 1-1 1/2 k chitin, and if you go northeast cave then you can also raid carbo island for pulmonos. Happy arking!

Wolves are best for chitin gathering. They are basically saber tooth cats but wolves can use a helmet in mobile significantly increasing their durability. Also wolves are easier to find as they roam in packs and when they howl for pack bonus it's the perfect time to bola and trap them or yoink via argentaivis. Also, wolves don't need saddles to ride so that's a plus and two wolves can get a pack buff in mobile.

May be a little more difficult but mantis seem to drop a lot! On a official at 1x I would get 250 to 300 per kill, on a crystal wyvern mind you, you might be able to get more with proper mount/ tool

I think using griffins to collect this item in ark mobile sucks one if your taming a griffin to get this item and the griffin will take almost a 2 days to tame and constantly wake up and will be faster if you use a x10 or x5 taming cream and now they only eat prime meat! Which rots very fast so use a raptor to your advantage!

Use a moshops and go kill trillobites. When you harvest you get like 280 chitin
