Megatherium are the best to gather chitin they also have a damage buff of 300% against bugs

Megatherium Harvests it the best and he goes rouge and he has a big boost and stuff i you fight A ton of bug it’s a ton of it

Go to the island the cave near herb with artifact use sabertooth to kill arenos and saber is good chiting collector

Get Megatheruim and farm the beginning of The Great Eggstraction mission on Genesis in Lava Biome. Spawn east run to cave start mission kill bugs almost to bottom of cave before it opens into volcano and turn around cancel mission and restart. Endless Chitin you get as much as you want to farm. Bring some extra dinos to black box and fill dedi box in no time.

On mobile get a high lvl sabertooth or an op dire wolf from the yeti cave, go to swamp cave (artifact of the immune) or if you dont have acces for gas mask go to middle chamber (artifact of clever), kill every araneo, plumonoscorpius, arthoplurea on your sight

I came out with 4 stack (1 stack on mobile = 5k, 4 = 20k) almost encucumbred after inside swamp cave for 20minutes killing spree with my dire wolf lv (580 before tame - 878 after tame)

I have a primitive metal hatchet and compared it to my megatherium but unfortunately my hatchet gets more Chitin from insects

Megas are crazy good at harvesting this and mts are full of bugs

Go to a cave with lots of bugs and you’ve basically got an unlimited supply

Set tames on auto aground and wander on carno island there are so many big bugs that you will have soooooo much chitin but watch out for the rexes but pulminsquorpouis (not spelled right) and carnoTaurus will drop chitin/keratin so just pteranodon smash rexes and your good for a chitin farm

It is super easy with a metal hatchet because you do not need to tame something

Swamp cave is great for chitin but is an extremely dangerous place, take megatherium and go to SE dunes or Rag volcano as there are lots of bugs there. Tons of chitin, and you don’t have to prepare as much as you do for the swamp cave.

Swamp

Valguero has 2 great options for chitin. One is killing the broodmother in its trench in the redwoods. The other is killing crabs in the abberation cave. Use megatheriums for both methods for best results. You will get more chitin from killing multiple crabs than the broodmother itself, but if you head into the cave in the broodmother trench once you defeat it, you will gets tons more. Your character will take damage in this cave, so bring a gas mask to avoid this.

When you realize moschops is better at collecting chitin than rex

You can farm in near griffin mountain.

Get a megatherium level up health to 5k , weight to 2k or up and the rest on damage then run to the south cave I got 6k chitin before making it to the artifact

Go to the center cave wich is at the volcan's feet with a sabertooth, you're welcome

Megatheriums are decent and aim at a 45degree angle with a weapon to kill easily

For mobile fastest way to get above 20k chitin in 15 mins:tame a high melee saber and go to central cave/clever cave or swamp cave/immune cave and just go mad on the hit button in no time you will have around 35k chitin from a single run with saber melee 650+
