The better quality your fishing rod is, the more better loot you get.

To fish.. build a chair, set it where you want to fish. Equip a rod, attach bait "ammo" to rod, put rest in hotbar (I use slot one), cast and wait for a bite. Play mini game to reel fish in. (This was how it worked for me on the PC)

Does anybody know if you can use anything besides leach blood? The red stuff ain’t easy to find ya know!
